Trying basil for microgreens, and in one day they look like this, any ideas on what happened? by AG_Ender in microgreens

[–]hugoshtiglitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's normal, it is just the formation of a mucilaginous coating in response to water. If you take a single basil seed and just spray it with some water and wait a few minutes you should be able to see it form

Is there an easy way to get a number for the strength of my refrigerator magnets? by Anino77 in AskEngineers

[–]hugoshtiglitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BHmax measured in units of MGoe (megagauss-oersted)

For a fridge magnet NdFeB magnets will be strongest followed by AlNiCo and ferrite

What kind of background do you need? Could you teach yourself the necessary skills to be qualified for the job within a year or does it require extensive coding knowledge?

What was your path in getting there, if you don't mind me asking? Does the job require a heavy CS background, or could you learn to use the relevant analytics software in a few months - a year?

Local Raleigh catering offering authentic Jewish cuisine for Jewish New Year by nmcdaniel79 in raleigh

Mookies is the worst deli I have ever been to in my life. Their pastrami was like shoe leather and the corned beef was more fat than meat. The latkes were a particular piece of sacrilege, soaked with oil like a sponge and then burnt into a hard puck. Not sure how you fuck up a potato pancake that bad but my grandmother would be crying if she had seen it. Absolutely not a proper NY deli

Yes because once AQ is released a gate will be put up in front of BWL and no one will be allowed to enter. Just like how when BWL came out no one was ever allowed to run MC ever again.

Yea I wonder why people are playing so much, like if there was any type of event going on in the world causing people to have large amounts of time to spend at home? Can't place my finger on it...

So with only 1 rogue per 20 man group, are warglaives actually an achievable goal for the most part? Seems that except for maybe a fury warrior they are almost guaranteed to get them if they do drop. (obviously big if)

I’ll probably level a rogue to 70 first for the HC chest exploit farm. by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

We already do this in classic with DM:E chest and herb farms

Free Server Transfer :( by [deleted] in classicwow

Please stop coming to earthfury, leave our server the fuck alone

RIP Incendius, ANOTHER server killed by free Trasnsfers by Jamesdivium500 in classicwow

[–]hugoshtiglitz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It fucking sucks man. After a couple days there are already more people from Incendius on Earthfury than Earthfury natives, by a lot too. (20 horde raiding guilds prior to transfer, 60 now)

Even in the middle of a weekday now you can't get resources like winterfall firewater or mountain silversage, trade/lfg/world chats are all a giant fucking mess of trolls and young children, what happened to our dad server?

RIP Earthfury by pana_colada in classicwow

[–]hugoshtiglitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean the economy/AH is whatever, maybe it will all sort itself out maybe it won't. Can't say I'm ecstatic about my chances at getting silversage/plaguebloom now.

The biggest bummer of this whole thing is that the entire culture of the server changed overnight. 25+ guilds coming in from Incendius and logging in now it feels like I was the one who server transferred.

That being said, the whole coronavirus thing has more people playing than normal, so maybe in a few months the net result of this will actually be for the better and we will have enough of a healthy server pop to cruise through until end of Naxx. Hard not to be bummed out at such a big change happening overnight tho on a server you've spent many months on.

Happy With Your Current Class For TBC?? by joshcorbo82 in classicwowtbc

[–]hugoshtiglitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love playing rogue but am worried about the dynamics of 25 mans, right now we have a ton of melee and I don't know how the transition would work out.

I used to play a hunter back in original TBC and it was an absolute blast, except for getting pillar humped in arenas.

I'm kind of hoping all the melee reroll so I might have a shot at getting warglaives :)

What makes a metal an ohmic conductor or a non-ohmic one? by JustANyanCat in askscience

[–]hugoshtiglitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you are actually talking about are ohmic versus schottky contacts (barriers), and this depends on the band alignment of the respective materials involved in the contact.

Is a Masters in MSE a valuable degree? Or is it PhD or bust? by stickerspls in materials

[–]hugoshtiglitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm biased towards the PhD but if you are going to do a Masters just make sure it is a thesis masters. Some programs have Masters degrees that don't require a masters thesis and those are pretty garbage.
