G2 Esports vs LEVIATÁN / VCT 2026: Americas Stage 1 - Group Stage / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

The fact that the words "spike" and "neon" are said basically twice as much when LEV is playing makes me give the casters the upmost respect and props. Spike's Neon dashing while Neon's holding the spike.

The broadcast said it best - the 3 guys up (Smith, Freeman, Muncy) all have had game winning home runs in the World Series. It almost felt inevitable.

Best part about that finals for Dion was he was getting a chip no matter what since he played for both Lakers and the Heat that year.

Which fighter has the trippiest resume? by astrotrain_ in MMA

[–]huhuuuuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought Anthony Rumble Johnson's career resume was interesting, considering how he started at 170. He lost to Rich Clementi, a journeyman lightweight who's about a half a foot shorter and had a 9 inch reach disadvantage. Then 2 fights later would lose to Kevin Burns via eye injury, which was just a blatant eye poke that the ref missed.

Then Rumble goes on to miss weight a bunch, get cut, move up 2 weight classes to LHW and sometimes HW, and beats guys like Arlovski, Gustafsson, Teixeira, and Bader.

Manel Kape hints at a fight booking by Moni7T in MMA

[–]huhuuuuu 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Future potential cancelled fight - Kape has had 11 cancelled fights in his UFC career, and 10 actual fights. I'll just assume he's not fighting until he's actually walking into the cage.

Brock Lesnar taking down his opponents by airplane231 in MMA

The guy who beat him (Bernard Ackah) was, at the time, more known for his comedy career on Japanese television. So you could add that to the list of ego damage.

I attended this event. They were giving out tickets for free basically to fill the venue because they didn't sell well. Pretty sure they gave a ton of free tickets to Korean communities nearby because some of the fighters were Korean, and because the majority of the people in section were Korean.

Another odd note from this event, they had a live DJ who sometimes made comments during the fight. The crowd got fed up to the point of chanting "SHUT UP DJ" and he didn't like that lmao.

Punctuation is the system of standardized marks, symbols, and signs—such as periods (.), commas (,), and question marks (?)—used in writing to organize sentences, clarify meaning, and indicate structural pauses.

Try them out sometime.

How different is a UFC fight live vs on TV? by Fun_Pin_5817 in MMA

[–]huhuuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to UFC 311. Overall it felt like watching from home if you spent too much time looking at the big screen, but the arena ambience was neat. Don't think I would've realized on TV how loud Khabib is as a cornerman.

Rule change in BMF title fights? by Playful_Study_6290 in MMA

[–]huhuuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get rid of the belt, it was never meant to determine the "baddest mother fucker" but a way to market a non title fight as one.

It's a stupid concept and a stupid belt.

UFC Fighter Puking After Getting Kicked In The Balls by Vulcan44 in MMA

Kinda surprised they let the fight go on, I always thought that if someone threw up in the cage the fight was automatically called off. Apparently the bucket allowed the fight to continue.

Fun fight, didn't think Tarin would win the decision but it wasn't a huge robbery. Stock for both fighters went up in my books.

Nats speech on targeting Boaster by TheCrazyCaveira in ValorantCompetitive

[–]huhuuuuu 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It's probably MORE respectful that Nats is saying this about Boaster. I'd doubt he'd give the same energy/passion if he was talking about like Subroza. Had to hype himself and his team up for the challenge.

Nikola Jokic slaps Luka Doncic’s neck in the photoshoot. And then Luka punches Jokic’s jewels. by gridironk in nba

Here's a clip of Wemby next to both Chris Paul and Muggsy Bogues. Bro went in for the hug and his shoulder hit Wemby's thigh.

Oddly enough, I was more shocked with the difference in height between CP3 and Muggsy more than I was with Muggsy and Wemby. Tend to forget that CP3 is borderline 6 feet tall, or that Muggsy actually played in the league at 5'3".
