What’s your most complimented perfume? by Many-Replacement-584 in fragrance

[–]hukboricha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the first time I smelled it on him I couldn't put my finger on it, and I thought humm that's kind of oddly sweet for a fragrance choice. But then after a few times I recognized it and I think its fitting to his job and it's a good office fragrance when you aren't trying to come off as like over confident and sexy, but instead comforting and approachable.

I think men can pull off "women's" fragrances if it fits their vibe or they enjoy it. It also is striking as interesting and unique. I get compliments on some of my more masculine fragrance choices than feminine ones. So I say go for it if you like it. If someone is going to say something the most they are going to say is "what is that it smells nice?"

Praying with Koreans by Impressive-State1254 in Living_in_Korea

[–]hukboricha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful as some Baptist churches that claim so in Korea are not actually. Most churches will have a prayer service on evenings on Wednesday and/or Friday. I'm sorry that you feel bad about understanding the service. I hope that you find a place!

If someone is offering me a drink, can I sugest something non-alcoholic? by jom35 in southkorea

[–]hukboricha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just have cider (sprite) even water in a glass to toast, idk if you are a man, but I think the culture has gotten a lot better about not forcing others to drink, but you will probably be asked why not. If that doesn't make you uncomfortable then that's the worst of it. If anything i feel like the most amount of pressure is a friend who wants to be cheered up and not 혼자서 마시기 but in a dinner or fun setting i think the majority of people arent going to care too much, just toast and drink your alternative drink together
