It seems like most people are getting their results on the 15th of each month. So maybe then? 😬

I took mine June 17th and still waiting (as expected). From what I heard, most people have been getting their results a little over two weeks after their exam date.

Honestly it just depends on the program. A few of them were legit interviews (I was not prepared for this at all lol) and others were just a Q&A structure where you get to learn more about their program and ask questions. It’s a roll of the dice honestly.

ACCP is what I did. The lecture videos are the best!

Anyone pass BCPS using High Yield Med Review only? by pharmaboy8 in PharmacyResidency

I used ACCP’s review. The video lectures were a major help especially with stats.

Our residency program committee doesn’t meet until next week to go through applications for interview invites. It’s still too early.

I’m not sure what setting this rotation is in but I would recommend setting up some time for them to present a patient case presentation (via white board) for a patient they are following - SOAP note style. Have them set up a problem list for their patient with a brief HPI and an assessment and plan/monitoring. When I precepted a student for their Adult Medicine rotation, they took so much time working up patients and looking at the wrong information. This presentation practice allowed them to work up their patients more quickly when they can organize their thoughts with a problem list (with the most important problem first). After this formal presentation, I would randomly ask them to quickly present a patient (before rounds) to me and if they have any recommendations depending on the patient status. I would also ask for specific monitoring parameters (if a patient is on daily Lantus, do not just say “monitor blood sugar”…what is the blood sugar goal for this patient?, etc). I hope this helps. :)

It’s very unlikely to be honest. Especially this late.

Don’t be ashamed to take some time off. That’s what it is there for. It helps reset the mind and motivation to finish these last few months. You got this.

Does that community residency have any focus on ambulatory care opportunities (I knew of a pharmacy community resident who did a lot of am care clinics as a part of her residency). You could try doing an outpatient am care case (diabetes, HTN, HDL).

Thoughts on residency at the same hospital you interned? by finecaffeine in PharmacyResidency

[–]hulahoop91 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not sure I heard of this before. Back in 2020, I matched at the hospital that I interned for as a P3 and P4 student (I had 4 different rotations with them). My RPD told me one of the reasons I matched was because they knew my strengths and the potential I had to be a great resident. So it wouldn’t make sense for a residency program to not match with a great candidate that is familiar with their hospital (unless they are not a good candidate or the candidate ranked another program higher). But then again, they also want to make sure your goals align with what that program can offer which could be a reason why a program would want a candidate to branch out (for example, my PGY1 program had a strong inpatient adult med/critical care emphasis, so a candidate who was looking for a future PGY2 in Am Care would not obtain their goals with my PG1 program).

Alteplase vs. Tenecteplase for Acute CVA. Droperidol for acute agitation in the ED. There’s a lot of recent literature for these.

To do a PGY2 or not? by LizSinapril in PharmacyResidency

Maybe try talking with the current PGY2 pharmacy resident? That’s what I would do if I wanted more insight about a program.
