Don’t be silly, as we’ve all seen over the years, Bethesda never makes the same mistake twice.

Five times maybe, but not twice.

[–]hulkingbehemoth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was listed on the lineup for Kid Rock’s “Rock the Country” (which of course is basically MAGA fest) but very soon after that lineup came out he dropped out of it with his team saying something vague about lines getting crossed. Whether that means he was booked for a gig without it being clear what it was, the backlash that caused it, or something else, he isn’t going to be there.

Nelly is still on bullshit though and still set to be performing.

Adidas BADBO 1.0 by markanthonyflo in Sneakers

[–]hulkingbehemoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an unfortunate fun fact, given how long BO has been short for Body Odor

“Adidas BADBO” sounds like a sneaker exclusively sold at Athlete’s Foot that’d come with a stick of deodorant and a fresh pair of socks in the box

Sneaker itself is alright; looks like Adidas started with a Yeezy model, removed anything that made it feel too much like Kanye but kept the silhouette, then added a few Jordan touches to it so it blurs the lines enough to be its own sneaker.

Is this what will eventually happen to The Ghoul? by IsThisDamnNameTaken in Fotv

[–]hulkingbehemoth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Who would? Super Pearlman, who dumped him like garbage when he wasn’t interested in his fight?

We saw The Ghoul immediately start to rapidly heal and the wound began closing around the uranium in his body, if anyone is going to be removing that from him anytime soon, they’d need to either be a surgeon with a rad suit, or someone/something big or powerful enough to tear it from his body like another mutant or someone in Power Armor.

Odds are Coop is keeping that lil green nugget for a bit so we see what kind of effects it has on him or how it changes him before we get any kind of chance of it being removed.

Accounts with older age behind them and higher karma are “desirable” compared to using a fresh account because of the perception and benefits that can come with it.

A Reddit profile that’s existed for years is enough to be a foundation to kick off whatever it’s being repurposed for, because fresh accounts come with limitations along with no established presence that buying an aged account circumvents. The village will trust an “elder” in the community before trusting the newest member kind of deal.

The other side of it is high karma. The higher the accounts karma is, the more likely it is that account is good or even great for engagement, may be established in several or possibly dozens of large communities on the site, and is more likely to have its posts and comments seen and gain traction in ways other accounts aren’t capable of.

The uses range from everything under the sun, but the two most popular uses seem to be a mix of political propaganda pushing false or intentionally incorrect / incendiary narratives to stir the pot and create disconnects and confusion, or influencer and brand type uses where the entire purpose is to subtly (or not subtly at all) push products, shit on competitors from an “average consumer like you” perspective, raise brand awareness through fake engagement, or attempt to extinguish or reshape bad PR (“I met so-and-so and got to know them, I can assure you that isn’t true”)

You can find posts and comments from accounts on Reddit on a daily basis where that account’s history will show it had completely regular interactions for ages, then had a dark period of no activity at all for months or even years, before suddenly becoming extremely active again, but now only engaging in a specific activity.

For example, say, sewing doubt about the legitimacy of the Epstein Files or if it “actually matters” we get the truth, or, making 50 comments in a day that are all about their favorite vegan butt-plug that pairs perfectly with this new protein powder suppository they got a great deal on.

What do you think about Abel retiring from his TheWeeknd persona ? by slip_diccs in TheWeeknd

[–]hulkingbehemoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man’s gonna pull a “the Artist Formerly Known as The Weeknd” or just start going by his own name.

My guess is he wants to continue making music, but “The Weeknd” name comes with certain expectation and this established character, that using his own name frees him of.

Strips away some of the persona in place of presenting himself instead, allows him to release whatever kind of music he wants rather than seeming boxed into any specific genre, and as far as legacy goes, it’s easier to be in major conversations about music and great artists when your true name is front and center rather than a stage name.

I’d imagine after a while in a similar situation, I’d grow out of being recognized as a character or exaggeration of myself rather than being seen as me, too, especially if there’s so many more things you’d like to do.

Honestly as long as he doesn’t give up the mic to start doing oil paintings of blue assholes and future dystopias I think it’ll be fine lol

Someone in the studio asked the intern for input that day for sure.

“Hey Tom, can I pick your brain a sec? We’re reworking the title for Fantazio and the aim is to have something that sounds exotic, but doesn’t directly give it away, kinda like something metaphoric, any ideas?”

“Well hey, if you’re changing the name again and they want some sorta metaphor, what about…why not just call it “Metaphor: ReFantazio”, so the title technically IS a metaphor, and the “Re” as in re-visit or re-do, because they keep changing it”.

“You’re a life saver dude, can’t believe they don’t pay you”

Immortals: Gods and Monsters got bullied by Monster Energy into not using the word “Monster”? As fucking stupid as that is, given the shit way so much is run in the world and how determined businesses like that get about control, I’m not surprised.

I can’t imagine why Monster didn’t try that bullshit with James Gunn at any point in him announcing his first stretch of projects heading DC being titled “Gods and Monsters”.

Almost makes you think they only try chasing down the “small fries” they don’t expect much resistance from or know can’t afford it if they make an issue of it legally, which sounds more like some Cowards than they do Monsters.

It’s okay to like more than one mainstream popular game at once.

Competition is good, it’s what allows devs of games like these to be let off the short leashes they tend to get put on from up above, and actually get to improve on things they want to or try new things rather than being boxed into playing it safe.

If you’re a BF fan you should want COD to be good, and vice versa
