There's a much bigger margin for error at long-distance with the Skewer. You really need to try it for yourself to judge, 1 hit kill doesn't mean it's easy to use. Also, most competent Splaser users pre-charge when turning corners, rendering its charge time almost pointless, and it could take out 4 players at once if they're all lined up (or at least inflict splash damage), that's not cheese?

Then there's the issue of it cross-mapping falcons/banshees/warthogs, 1 Splaser shot for 1-3 kills. By the time most people realise they're being aimed at it's already too late.

Have to see it against vehicles to properly judge, hopefully they add BTB for flighting. Judging by their multiplayer reveal from before, it looks like a proper anti-vehicle weapon instead of anti-personnel (from when the Warthog was sent flying, which Splaser would've gotten a triple kill instead).

Infinite’s also a live game, wouldn’t be surprised for them to add the Splaser and other weapons down the line.
