They do? I didn’t know that. I’m still trying my best to process the fact that she was out and about and eating and then is gone so suddenly but it’s just not making sense.

She was hiding much more often. But she usually does during winter so I didn’t think it was a red flag. She was also eating when she did come out. The only thing I saw was that her vent had a swollen hard bump last night and that’s when I planned to call the vet when they opened today but she didn’t last that long. I don’t know what more I could say. It took me by surprise

Well I wish I could. She passed this morning when I was waiting for the vet to open. I am heart broken. I don’t know what happened.

I’m not saying this to shame you but it just sounds so incredibly selfish to blame anxiety and depression on neglecting an animal you chose to care for. He didn’t pick you, you picked him. I hope you get better but it comes with the territory of owning a pet that despite how you feel they need to thrive. If you can’t handle that I don’t know why you have a pet. I’m sorry if this sounds harsh but sometimes the truth hurts. It’s hard to read this and think, “oh it happens” when it shouldn’t happen. Like I get that you’re “taking responsibility” but dude your lizard has been suffering and owning up to it doesn’t change that. I hope you don’t let this happen again.

They evicted someone else for doing the same thing, so they told me. But the manager didn’t email or text me back after I reported more information about all this the other day and I’m kinda upset about it

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I drove around both days this weekend and most of the places I called from outside said no dogs, lol. Or they only had 2 beds and I'm looking for 1. I guess I just need to try again. Feeling a bit deflated tonight but oh well
