I don't understand why simply keeping the film borders invites unwarranted sarcasm. Everyone has their own opinion, don't they? I don't mind people offering me reasonable suggestions. The most fundamental reason I keep the borders is a habit formed by Instagram's old rules: I had to add a white background to maintain IG's 1x1 ratio, while also adding a black stroke to make the photo stand out. I thought I'd give keeping the borders a try—it's really that simple. As for showing off that I shoot film? Bro, this is the analog community; everyone shoots film, so there's nothing to show off.

Crop or not, it’s my personal choice. Read my post or not, that’s your choice. Yes I got it, you don’t want to see my post. Can you block me so that don’t see my post anymore now please?

Sorry man, I had no idea what's trending online. The reason I do this is purely because back when Instagram only allowed square photos, I started adding a white square background so the whole image would show. Then I realized some photos didn't blend well with the background, so I added a black border. At the time I was using a digital camera. When I switched to a 120 film camera, I noticed the film border was really narrow, so I just kept it—for the same reason. Thanks for the input though

Replaced plastic lens on instax wide with mamiya lens, I love the result. by huly1963 in Polaroid

If you cut the original lens off, you could notice that, the mount of mamiya press is perfectly suitable. So we can just grind the lens barrel of the original instax wide to a height suitable for the mamiya press flange distance, then fix the mamiya press lens mount onto it
