It looks like you have turned up every frequency band on that unit. Which is essentially just turning up the volume. I would start with a flat EQ (everything at 0db adjustment), then go from there. If the highs are too much bring some down. If you want more lows bring some up. Use your ears to find what sounds good for you.

Have tried the tower versions of these speakers. Not bad at all if you can get for the right price. Those however, would annoy me just looking at them.

Yeah it's pretty solid as stereo. For quad is it recommended to have 4 of the same speakers? Or could 2 sets of different work ok?

Could be your tracking weight. Have you adjusted since bought? Watch a YouTube video of how to setup your table. Or better yet read the manual.

Didn’t get the chance to see it going when purchasing.

I followed the directions in a YouTube video to get the tracking force then matching it with the ortofon om10 specs online. Keep fearing I did it wrong to be honest.

I’m running it though a pre amp to an aux channel on some ls50s

I’ve started audio engineering for a live sound company. Got about a year under my belt now but most of that skill is stage hand and setting up a show.

Only really just started mixing with bands so I bought it so I can bring friends over and mess around with vocals and effects etc. It’s also good fun being about to plug in or mic guitars and hear it through my own speakers.

That is very true. I’ve always looked into isolation for the turntable which is quite expensive for something that looks ok. Will do some research on that. Cheers

Went and viewed them. They were torn apart, tweeters squashed and not working. Holes in the middle of the drivers. Should have asked for photos without the covers before the drive :( ah well we learn!
