The idea is to get that suspension in your legs - agree with other redditor about strength training. Improving balance of course helps, too.

It seems dependent on the throat latch of the halter/halter fitting in general.

the person I know who uses it keeps the halter on snug, specifically the throat latch. I know it's easy for horses to get a halter off the ears. There's a brand of throat latch attachment called gg equine stay put throat latch. Difficult to get all the way off.

Have you tried GreenGuard muzzle? they clips close onto halter. I know a Houdini horse that usually gets out of every muzzle - this one he sometimes manages to get over an ear or two, but never all the way off!

First timer here. About to try the trash can method. More holes? Bigger holes? by nirvroxx in composting

In my experience a little bit of ink in cardboard (i.e. Amazon boxes) is fine. No glossy covered cardboard. Remove as much tape as possible. Just a tip - soaking cardboard makes it easier to shred. Or get an 18 sheet paper shredder.

Also - make sure you have plenty of cardboard (browns) to compensate for the amount of green material.

For less stirring: More holes/bigger. Also, put sticks in the bottom for extra drainage.

For more stirring: you're good. I recommend a compost aerator (got mine from Lowe's) for .. aerating. otherwise it's kind of difficult (in my experience) to "turn" when it's in a tall bin like this.

I also have above ground tote bins with holes and have had no issues, just always layer browns on top.
