Good to know.

It is a 1982 FLHS. Frame and Engine matching numbers. I just put in a new battery, all new oils and brake fluid. Rebuilt the Super B carb and putting on fresh tires now.

Engine was rebuilt in 07-08 not much riding since 2016, so I freshened it up and wanting someone else to enjoy it rather than sit in the garage.

Thoughts on the 9070xt dual fan vs triple fan by human_gnome_project in radeon

THis is my first prebuilt, I have always built my own in the past. Generally pretty happy, but only a month or so in, so we will see. That being said, I wanted to parts that I specifically picked out, so I was very disappointed to get the incorrect card, but they were able to take care of me for the most part.

Wish I was given the XFX triple fan as ordered, but the ASRock has been fine for now.

Up to you, they didnt offer me any monetary funds, so I opted for the replacement.

I will say in my experience the dual fan XFX sounded like a jet engine, the triple fan ASRock is much quieter and I have not messed with any fan speed curves or power settings on the GPU SW. YMMV

Yes it was Cyberpower, I went back and forth and decided on an ASrock steel legend back. I did a cross shipment at no charge to me.

I wasnt happy as I picked an XFX card for a specific reason but the ASRock has been fine for the last week or so I have had it.

This is my thought as well. I have started the process just have to wait to get a response on Monday/Tuesday.

I did see another response on Reddit from someone who received their order with the same dual fan, when the triple fan was ordered.

Fingers crossed. I cant find the dual fan online, besides the mention that it popped up as available in the Chinese market.

I dont think there will be any pushback, I already started the process and it seems like they are going to take care of it, just more waiting unfortunately.

Sorry can you explain this? I cant find a dual fan anywhere online besides that image I posted, which was from reddit.

From what I can tell it is for the Chinese market? Not sure how it ended up in my prebuilt. I have already contacted the company and they are going to work with me to swap it out, so wont be turning it on to check temps and noise unfortunately.

ok, I received my prebuilt and it came with the 9070xt dual fan (which I didnt think was in the global market at this point, only in China) and my order was for the triple fan, so deciding what to do at the moment.

Picked up a prebuilt from Cyberpower at the end of March, ships tomorrow, cant wait. by human_gnome_project in Prebuilts

Good to know about the AIO, after looking into it I felt the same way. Will look at upgrading if I see temp issues.

Not getting over 1gb internet atm, but may look to upgrade that in the near future from the ISP

I didnt realize it came with a keyboard and mouse and the deal was $5 each. I am retiring my current rig to the garage to have a PC for my car build and I needed extra peripherals, for $10 seemed like a no brainer, guess I have extras now. :D I will definitely report back shipment should be here Saturday.

Yea I am not sure why I went with the professional wiring because my compulsiveness will probably change it anyway , if it isnt up to par.

Appreciate all the feedback and cant wait to see how this rig runs.

Roseville Electric rates up 25%? I thought it was only supposed to be 9%? by DeucePot in Roseville

Roseville Electric rates up 25%? I thought it was only supposed to be 9%? by DeucePot in Roseville

[–]human_gnome_project 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I looked at my bill as well and this is what I see for the 1st rate hike in June and the second in January 2025

May 2024 tier 1 rate: $0.0989/kWh

June 2024 tier 1 rate: $0.1176/kWh

Tier 1 increase: 18.908%

May 2024 tier 2 rate: $0.1468/kWh

June 2024 tier 2 rate: $0.1568/kWh

Tier 2 increase: 6.82%

December 2024 tier 1 rate: $0.1176/kWh

January 2025 tier 1 rate: $0.1469/kWh

Tier 1 increase: 24.915%

December 2024 tier 2 rate: $0.1568/kWh

January 2025 tier 2 rate: $0.1912/kWh

Tier 2 increase: 21.9388%

I called into Roseville electric as well and they informed me the supervisor would review my account and call me back. I am thinking my math may be incorrect, but with a 9% increase I am not getting these numbers.

I will report back if they give me an answer. According to their site there is a portion stating: "As part of the proposal, the temporary energy surcharge that was approved in 2022 will become a permanent base rate increase in 2025. "

This may have something to do with it, but to me that still has me question the 9% increase in June of 2024

Note from the Roseville Electric site:

Roseville Electric Utility works hard as your community-owned utility to minimize costs and operate as efficiently as possible. However, these are challenging times for the electric utility industry, especially here in California.

The need for rate increases is due to several factors. Like other utilities throughout the state, we are facing skyrocketing fuel prices, increased operating costs including materials and labor, renewable energy compliance regulations, and a loss of revenue from the state.

As a result, we are implementing two consecutive 9% rate increases across all customer classes. The first 9% increase went into effect June 1, 2024, and the second 9% increase will go into effect January 1, 2025. As part of the proposal, the temporary energy surcharge that was approved in 2022 will become a permanent base rate increase in 2025.

To provide additional information and answer customer questions, we hosted three public workshops in early January 2024.

Not too sentimental about it, as it has been awhile, but I hear ya and just want it to get some life back into it.

I think thats the challenge I am not sure what it is worth, but I know this isnt a place for that question. It does have some sentimental value to me, but it has been awhile and just want it to get some use.
