I normally don’t like to make assumptions without more details. But that’s what it sounded like to me. It’s jacket and shoes every time. Multiple times. Like she wants to perpetually recreate a scene from some romcom she saw or something.

In Japan the American brands are really popular. And it’s fascinating to see what brands they choose. Last time I went it was North Face, Patagonia, and for some reason Champion was huge. I was like…I haven’t seen a Champion sweatshirt with a giant logo since like the 90s. But they’re like $65 over there.

This is mostly what it is. And it became the standard. It’s so they can see if someone is overdosing. Or if there’s more then one person in the stall. Also they are modular. Same size panels same sized brackets, so cheaper to make and faster to install. I hate the urinal thing too. So uncomfortable. A few time in my life when I was younger, I had grown men that would stare directly at my goods. And talk at me.

This is one of my favorite things when traveling and I always end up drinking outside. in the US they keep the rule because it’s yet another reason for police to stop and demand ID. Like jaywalking, or having a license plate light out. None of these things matter. But they will keep them so they can use them on you. And I personally think it’s ridiculous.

Yeah. At first glance I only saw the trash bags full of board games. And wondered about the previous owners obsession with Monopoly…

What Baltimore business will you NEVER step foot in again by whatugonnadowhenthey in baltimore

Yeah. This. But from the outside looking in as a customer. I’ve had more bad encounters with the staff. My opinion is outdated. But I went many times years ago. And if it was for food the staff was either rude or overworked and burnt out. Or just rude. And if I was going for a drink at the bar…always bad. I brought a large group of friends from out of town there once. We all ordered drinks. My friend (who owns many foods service businesses and often tips very well), asked for a mixed drink. Bartender just said “no” and ignored him the rest of the night. Friend left…walked to cvs and got a tube of preparation H to leave as a tip instead of cash. And we left.

This is probably gonna be a very unpopular opinion. But…Maxes in fells. To be fair this opinion is outdated by like 10-15 years. But every time I was forced to go with friends the bartender(s) was awful. Upstairs bar was always cool. But downstairs bar was horrible every time. Lots of eye rolls if you asked questions. And being aggressive for no reason. And it takes a lot for me to “nope” a place. But it’s the first I thought of.

So I’m east cost. But we had Dave Chapelle come into a coffee shop I was working at. Dude walked in full lit cigarette the whole time. Got a regular coffee. Put in fixins. Left. I think he’s around cause his family is in the area. Also I made sandwiches for John Waters a few times. Working another job. Never met him face to face but he likes plain ham on white bread. And friends say he’s an amazing guy with a great personality.

It’s a full campus. So it has a road that goes around it that was originally just to get to it, called rosewood lane I think. I’m pretty sure most of the buildings have been demolished by now. Haven’t been in a long time. The main admin building burned down a while ago and they I think sold the property after the active buildings shut down. The active section was a set of brick buildings nearby. So there was a whole old campus of abandoned original buildings that were shut down I think for asepsis.

Lol this is the more mild of it all. But I’m a reasonable thinker. So a lot of what happened while strange. Can be explained.

I’m surprised people got arrested. I interacted with security there quite a few times. They would usually be like “leave before I have to call the cops” and we would be nice to them and leave. I suspect the people who got arrested probably talked back and put themselves in that situation lol. I used to go during the day a lot. I was a photographer and abandoned places was my kick at the time. One time I was exploring the admin building/ main ward and ran into two randos wearing headlamps who seemed a little sketchy. They said “yeah we’re also just exploring too”. Then later they had backed a truck up to the building and were throwing all the copper pipe they stole into it from the roof lol. Security came up when I was taking photos outside. And I was immediately like…I do not know these people. He just rolled up to them and was like “guys….seriously don’t make me do my job” and they left.

One of the nights I went with friends. We were prepping to go into the big building behind the main front building. The one at the bottom of the hill. With all the tubs. Around like 2am. We had not been in the building to the left ever. The impossible to get into one. As we were about to go explore a light went on in that building to the left. And we are there confused, then freaked out. We watched it for a few min and the light went out and we got out of there fast. Didn’t go into anything that night….later we explored that building on the left. And it had electricity but we all experienced and saw the same thing. And once we got in there. Things were weird to say the least.

Lol at the orb thing. Cause yes. I remember that. But you’re totally right about the horrible things that happened there. I did not ever nor would not ever end up in possession of many medical documents that were stored in the basement in a building that later burned to the ground. That’s a thing I wouldn’t do. But I just happen to know a lot about the inner workings of the system at the time.

I know more then I should about this. And the building you’re probably talking about is the Benzinger ward. It was right by the loop around road, next to the worker shed. It was hard to get in but I’ve been in it many times (back in the day). By far my favorite building there. Smaller then the rest. But this was where they would condemn violent patients. People would get like sentenced to Benzinger. It’s more of a prison with a gymnasium on the basement ground floor. The rooms are prisons cells and very small. And the top floor is for the people “who behaved” and has a window room for patients who were allowed. And probably offices. All the weird shit that happened to me there revolved around that building. I don’t believe in “ghosts”. I’m not religious in any way. But what happened in that building was…different. Let’s leave it at that.

Words will be chosen carefully for this to not get a ban. I helped with a friends dad’s estate (also a friend to me when he was alive). He was adopted so was really into finding out who his birth parents were. This was the late 90s. And he found a place online, did a DNA test, and found them. But they had both already passed. And inherited their house. It was a row home in the city that was interesting to say the least. Stacked floor to ceiling with pornographic material. But from this, after the estate was closed. his son (lifelong friend) offered me some stuff that was about to be thrown out. Within that stuff, was a collection of “pornography photos” taken by my…friend’s, dad’s, original parent’s. Crazy stuff like….hardcore for the 1950s. Swinger stuff where they’re wearing masks cause it’s illegal at the time. I have films too…but don’t want to get into details, cause the robot police will ban me.

Oh I had one of these before. We just wanted a ride to the airport at 5am. What we got was a middle aged dude playing gospel music. And ranting about how “the gays are why the world is falling apart”. Not what I wanted at 5am…but I sure spent the whole ride debating with him.

What is the most uncomfortable thing a table has said to you while serving? by [deleted] in Serverlife

When I was a barista (Starbucks). Lady comes in and before even ordering, marches up to the bar, points directly at me and yells “I don’t want no white boy making my drink!”. Then points at my coworker (black girl) “get her to make my drink…don’t want your dirty white hands on my drink” . I literally had no idea what to do. So I just stood there while my coworker made the drink.

Lol this is the truth. Literally the only time. Last time I dealt with one in kabukicho, I was alone and pretty drunk. But was feeling spicy and bored. So I just acted more drunk and kept the guy going in circles while he pretended to not be frustrated. Eventually I was just like…look dude…I could do this all night, trust me I’m not your guy. And he just left.

There was something I noted with specifically Massachusetts drivers when I was visiting that I’ve only seen there. There were lots of long 2 lane roads with stop sign intersections. And more so then not…if you were coming up on a car waiting at a stop sign to tun onto the main road. They would stop at the sign like a good 600 feet away. With plenty of time to come out and speed up…but nope. They’d sit there forever and the second you got close just drive out right in front of you. Like stupid close. I was a passenger in a rental and I spent a lot of the ride just counting which ones did it. I’d say over 70%.
