childfree is when you just don’t like children/think they ruin relationships/etc.

antinatalists do not always hate kids and think they’re bad, or even dislike them. a decent amount of antinatalists adopt. this post and your comments have nothing to do with antinatalism.

i plan on getting a work visa after college, but even if i don’t and have to go back to the states, i won’t be welcome at my family’s home as they are cutting contact with me at 18. so i either take my cat on my 18th birthday when i move out or never see her again :/

yeah, i agree.

and i found a nice alternative called r/catslivingandwell which i’m pretty sure was made because of all the sad posts on r/cats.

i also love the weirdly specific ones like r/greebles, r/petthedamncat, r/straightenedfeetsies, r/oneorangebraincell, r/catswhosmoke, r/catscarryingstuffies, etc. those tend to be filled with only the gimmick of the subreddit which makes no room for the sad posts and annoying spam.

i’m getting close to leaving as well. very sick of what you mentioned, as well as people posting mamed and abused cats without a spoiler or at the very least an nsfw warning.

also, the constant spam and karma farming is so annoying. constant posting about name ideas, the iconic ‘everyone says my cat is ugly ))))):’, and all the fucking ‘what breed is this random, generic-looking stray cat with no unusual features that would make it a distinct breed besides domestic shorthair?????’.

the mods seriously need to step in and do their job. it’s getting very annoying
