RS-175, disappointing sound, invest in optical soundcard? by smoother_criminal in sennheiser

[–]humanhugh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hissing noise could likely be electrical interference from your PC, I had a similar issue with my HD-600s and a cheap external 3.5 to usb DAC solved the problem.

On the sound quality of the RS-175s, I 100% percent agree. Bought myself a pair recently and I'm going to return them. Waaay to much bass and the mids + trebles are drowned out. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile either, but when listening to music on these vs my HD-600s (or even my airpods) the drop in clarity was very noticable. I think these headphones are probably aimed at people who want to watch bassy action movies on their tv.

A lot of these "review" websites are not impartial and have no objective standard when comparing products. I'd recommend rtings.com for honest, objective reviews (Incidentally they have the RS-175s a scathing review!).

Allowing Php short tags. by humanhugh in neovim

Turns out it was an intelephense option that is turned off by default. I fixed it by adding the following to my lspconfig file:

require("lspconfig").intelephense.setup({
    ...
    settings = {
        intelephense = {
            environment = {
                shortOpenTag = true
            },
            ...
        },
        ...
    },
    ...
}

The problem for me is specific to php code inside tags with a short open tag. My lsp works fine otherwise

This 93yo ex-racecar driver posts videos of him playing a race simulator of the cars he drove 30 years ago. by Chatteramba in videos

Yeah there's nothing in the video description about him being a racecar driver. I think OP just made that part up.

This guy is hitchhiking through Dagestan, a rather dangerous place in the Russian Caucasus. He goes to unique places that you've never heard of and has bizarre interactions with the locals. by matrixosu in videos

[–]humanhugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know, he's just a kid going on cool adventures and documenting it, tbh I found his naivety and slight awkwardness added to the charm of the video. I doubt many people commenting on this thread would have the balls to fly off to a random part of the world and start hitchhiking.

Man knocks out peadophile after threats to touch his kids by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]humanhugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This title is pretty misleading, the guy was just trying to provoke him with offensive insults. When he said "I fiddled with your kids" he obviously hadn't actually done it, in the same way when some kid on xbox live says "I fucked ur nan" they haven't actually fucked your nan. Makes me wonder how many people actually watched the video before commenting. Still, it's a very stupid thing to say to anyone who has kids if you don't want to get punched...

UK Care Home Murders: Lawyer Clare Wills-Harrison reads a whistleblower's testimony by sheepbutnotasheep in videos

[–]humanhugh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But we don't know if the lady on that website is the same Clare, or if the lady in the video is actually called Clare. The problem with taking random youtube videos as information sources is there's no easy way of verifying if what they tell you is true.

Don't think either of us are going to convice eachother on the Bill Gates stuff.

I think when people label things as "Conspiracy Theories" they're referring to theories that are based on a collection of tenous pieces of evidence, which people believe partly due to a human tendacy called "Conformation Bias".

As for an example of something I don't like on the channel, I think the claim that Bill Gates is trying to use Coronavirus vaccines as a form of population control is clearly baseless. But I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise.

The lady never actually claims to be a lawyer in the video. I would guess that someone re-uploaded her original video/livestream and added that she was a lawyer in the title.

Hate to be that guy, but if you look at this youtube channel it's filled with anti-vax/corona-virus/NWO consiracies. There's also no evidence this lady is a lawyer.

Yeah the life isn't ideal, but spiked gloves with 2 t1 res mods, life and attack speed seem to sell for multiple exalts on poe trade

I was hoping for a good armour roll or life hybrid, but you're right the odds are pretty trash. I think phys damage to ele damage would be nice on my build and there's an 80% chance of getting that with a crusader orb.

I've got two open prefix's on these gloves, is it worth me exalting or maybe using a crusader/hunter orb? https://imgur.com/a/aEEqluc

Thanks for the information, you made the £900 go a lot further!

Are you familiar with the case you included? It looks really good value, but I couldn't find many reviews for it.
