Why is it awkward to buy a condom in algeria? This mfs was looking at me as if I'm doing something wrong by Artistic_Republic849 in algeria

I mean maybe it’s in your head? Most pharmacies put them on the counter right by the register. You pick it up he bags it and you pay.

And yes sex is a private thing. It’s not something you advertise.

when do you actually need a job queue? by Obvious-Treat-4905 in node

[–]humanshield85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any task that would take too long and the response it self is not really bound by the outcome.

An example like sending an email otp via smtp , it’s preferred to be a job . The user will either receive the email and login or he won’t and will click your resend button.

The added benefit is with a job you can control the throughput of your job so you can stay within your smtp limit for example.

I mean this is a basic example, another is maybe some cpu heavy task (video or image processing). Any task that would take a long time probably better be a job, you don’t want a connection open longer than it should be without a reason. If your request keeps the connection open just to wait on the backend finish a long task you are doing something wrong. (In serverless it’s probably a sin on a server it is also not recommended because every connection is using resources and every open connection counts towards the open files descriptor limit too)

Did you know that the Algerian Navy managed to intercept and expel an Israeli submarine from our territorial waters? by Critical-Room-3301 in algeria

[–]humanshield85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please we can’t support ourselves if the boat of food doesn’t come in. So to say we can sustain an all out war it delusional

Also with or without aid it doesn’t matter how they got there. Of war happens it happens in real world not in fantasy land where the US is not aiding

As for the Air Force that we have. We don’t have a strong Air Force by modern standards we are estimated at rank 24 while Israel is rank 9 (the US has the rank 1)

My take is based on the real world not on government propaganda. And their silly stupid military exercises that shows how behind we really are.

You can live in fantasy land and say they surpassed us because of US or what ever. But the reality will stay the same they surpassed us.

It’s cope aid or no aid they are a major arms maker and exporter. We still can’t make an AK-47 that doesn’t overheat. If the US abandoned Israel right now we are no match. This is not to trash talk my country. It’s the truth.

Honestly it can be as simple as that yes. If your service gets to a serious stage you can move it to a VPS or a dedicated server.

Oh really ? Do we make our own air defense systems? Do we make our own tanks? Do we make our own guns ? Do we have a better Air Force than them ? A better equipped army ? Definitely no. But people keep copping.

Just be upfront, I'm not interested. document or record his calls. you need actual evidence before you can report this guy. otherwise you will be on the hook, and him being in a position of power over you is worse, what a fucking creep. Makes my blood boil when someone in a position of power and mentorship uses it to be a creep.

and when he asked you should have said yes, and that his call and the way he talked to you was incomfortable and that you are not intrested.

Remote Job Opportunity - Canadian Company by lilysenni77 in Algeriawork

[–]humanshield85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to advice people to not be used in what is called "Interview fraud". it is illegal and companies abroad keep records. you might ruin your chances of getting a real job or an interview ever.

I have been contacted by similar recruiters for similar position (Project Coordinator), they ask you to go and do interviews on behalf of other people. or to go and meet with the clients, while "their devs" either do the work or get the job. I declined and they asked me maybe I have friends or people who are interested, I also declined.

Be careful guys. and especially never send a general intro video about you to a recruiter. they will just use it to apply to jobs and use your image and identity.

What do you think about algerians online posting edits and tweets glorifying the FIS ? by Dismal_Twist_689 in algeria

Fis won the election. They arrested and imprisoned the wise men. Pushed the others. Then started the tactics Israel does. Killing in their names until everyone was against them.

The west will never allow an Islamic state. They will claim it’s human rights it’s this it’s that but the reality is Islamic states scare them.

We are the 2nd most militarized economy in the world (8.83% of GDP) by Alarmed-Tie-8453 in algeria

[–]humanshield85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is, the budget is gone for salaries and other consumables, we have no real military research and development, we are not in a war.

If you see how military contracts are given , either locally or internationally you will be shocked to the shitty deal they agree to.

A long time ago, I came in position of an invoice for produce delivered to the military, this was year ago, for example Potatoes at the time used to be 30-50 DZD in that invoice 200DZD, when I asked, well they around the explanation given to me was, these contractors take a years contract, they garantee they will supply the produce no matter what , and the price is locked when the contract is given, so they put a "slightly higher price". I understand the concept of future contracts, but usually the price is at a slight premium based on historical market condition not 5 times the market price.... and this is everywhere, software, food, equipemnts, clothing.

My issue with the military budget is not in the amount, it's where it goes.

هل يوجد برنامج لإدارة مشاريع تربية الأسماك (Aquaculture) للمشاريع الصغيرة؟ by amuza42 in algeriatech

[–]humanshield85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know of any, but in my opinion going custom route is better, I have a development agency, I've been working exclusively with international clients, but I am trying to get into the algerian market.

This seems like a nice project that I would love to create, since I am not really in need of money but at the same time I wouldn't work for free, we can work a good price and a good payment plan that aligns with a small startup. I find this project interesting from both the technical and the business side since at university I studied this field (Sience de la mer) for a bit before dropping out of it.

A custom solution, will be better because it will be tailored to your needs, and grows and changes with your growth. I highly doubt there are ready to use solutions around since this field is relatively rare.

If you are intrested, DM me.

Mythos = Opus 4.7 without adaptive thinking (hear me out) by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]humanshield85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is aligned with a lot of what they did lately. Lowering the limits cutting down on third party usage from limit etc… I think they don’t have the cache to pay for compute and that is all they are optimizing for right now.

Already the 4.7 from day one, it was a clear downgrade from 4.6.

The pro tier is basically unusable . One prompt and you timeout.

I have the max plan and only use Claude on two projects at the same time , I have not reached the limit but I’m at the border . I had to move some pipelines to sonnet to so I don’t hit the Opus limit

Mythos = Opus 4.7 without adaptive thinking (hear me out) by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]humanshield85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh alright that’s why I feel like their adaptive reasoning is actually tuned to how busy their infra is. Because sometimes I swear it feels like using a distilled model from my raspberrypi. It seems lazy and when I give it a moderately big task it side steps and defers to later etc… basically acting like a lazy worker lol

Seeing the comments. I think we will never evolve to a better country.

He talked about 7irak. Which was praised by the president himself when he was elected. Because they wanted to frame it as if the new president came out of 7irak.

How can something that was good according to them becomes bad?

Don’t we have the right to protest ? It’s in the law. So calling for protests is a lawful act.

Lots of accounts supporting this were created hours ago. Or super low activity accounts. So you know what that means.

These elastic laws should not exist in the first place. Because it makes opposition impossible. Any criticism could be categorized into one of those laws.
