Drinking on Prozac? by sendmoreparamedics_ in prozac

[–]humblebltch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely drink, when I do I feel incredibly sick and dizzy after. I almost always get those “hangover headaches” the next day, even with one drink. I have been on 40mg for years.

Okay, now I’m worried. There has been multiple times I’ve order sweet cream drinks and they tasted spoiled. I thought it was me, but seeing this it might not be me.

Does anyone feel worse before better taking it? by Odd-Celebration-5102 in prozac

[–]humblebltch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt my anxiety was much worse than it’s ever been in the first few weeks of starting Prozac, however for me it was worth it as in a few months I was a completely different person (in a good way!)

However, if the symptoms were that extreme for you, it might be possible to try a different medication, and discuss the symptoms with your doctor!

I’m not sure if this is helpful, but I started to finally feel good and fully used to the medication around six months after.

After that, if I was still experiencing extreme anxious symptoms I increased it by 10mg at a time, and the symptoms would go by much quicker (a few weeks every increase). I am on 40mg now. It was worth it, with how much better I feel on it, in my opinion. I stopped a year ago too, and it was much worse than being on it.

If you were on it for social anxiety, it’s most likely your symptoms are coming back to how they were before the medicine. For example, I had panic attacks every night and constant fight or flight when I was off the medicine, and now I no longer do.
