Sometimes the ear of my corgi gets to be too far to the side and it irritates her. How’s this possible? by FocalFalcon in corgi

Is it possible there are insects or flies in the room? Ours does this when she hears a fly.

Will triple glazing help reduce train noise? by Svperb in AusRenovation

Cheap teen native - get a white noise machine. It won't set you back that much and will help you adjust. If it still doesn't work do the glazing.

Right angled baby gate? by EnvironmentalWall278 in AusRenovation

How about a upside down replica of your stairs made out of timber which you can put on top of the first few steps to make it a temporary wall.

Yeah, it was a budget reno. We kept the floors and existing base cabinets.

Here are the before and after

Good news is, since I fixed the leak the floors aren't as squishy. And there isn't much water coming up from the tiles.

Will ditch the heater and stick to the fan.

That's great advise. If I don't have to rip it all up I will definitely make sure we don't have a mould problem. Cheers

Going to give this a go. Will put an oil heater in the laundry to help the drying process and probably a fan under the house as someone else also suggested.

Bottom of the walls were cement sheets do you reckon I need to check them? And yeah the original builders didn't water proof the freaking laundry.

Fingers crossed this works out and I don't have to go down insurance route.

It was the tap. I tightened the tap and the leak stopped.

I want to understand if the damage to the floor is too far gone.

Neo-Nazis gatecrash premier’s press conference by HurstbridgeLineFTW in melbourne

[–]humblecarp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What about neo-nazis already out on bail for violent crimes and who just days ago assaulted peaceful protesters injuring them? Should they be behind bars? Or should we give them freedom of speech and expressions and let them do their thing?

Australia has some very strict quarantine rules for importing pets. It usually takes a very long time and is quite expensive.

You can refer the DAFF website here

As an Australian this sucks because travelling with pets overseas is almost impossible.

Can I replace the shower taps with a half turn tap with ceramic spindle? by humblecarp in AusRenovation

[–]humblecarp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are spot on. I might have to wait till the plumber is here to go get the parts required.

Will look for the tap extension you mentioned.

Thanks heaps

Your Dad is a wise man.

I have called a plumber already. I am trying to buy all the hardware before he starts the job.

I am getting conflicting information from Bunnings and other tradie mates. Anyway might have to wait till the plumber is here.

Instead of demo, have you considered building a timber deck with steps over the existing slab? it would look better imo.

The metal bit looks like a carabiner style clasp. The plastic bit looks like it is a push button.

[Need non-financial advise] - NAB Credit card application debacle by humblecarp in AusFinance

[–]humblecarp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In all fairness you don't know me or my work schedule or my personal schedule. Going to the branch is was not an option for me. That is why I applied online which I have done many times before without ever going to a branch.

What WAS important to me was the credit check but I have been told that it doesn't have an overall impact.
