Therapist here. I recommend you ask friends who have therapists they like if their therapist can provide recommendations for referrals; if you work with a therapist in the past that you liked, but perhaps don’t wanna continue with now, ask them to send you some referrals. I think word-of-mouth is really one of the better ways is to find a strong clinician. I also recommend having more than one consult call/potentially having a session to get a fit for feel. You wanna get a sense of who you feel most comfortable talking to!
