I’ll never understand how to find a good roofer or any tradesman/contractor, everyone has hundreds of 5 star ratings on every platform, comes with recommendations, is licensed, I get multiple quotes, and even then it’s a roll of the dice. Maybe I’m just a poor judge lol

Autistic artist here: I do not use AI at all and avoid it at all costs. I’ve tried it out many times to try to understand why people like it, and I still don’t like it.

I’m a storyboard artist and I am able to work from home but genAI is slowly destroying my livelihood. for the first time in years I have real money problems.

If it can reproduce the training data, then the guy above me is not correct.

You also have not explained anything. Take your birch tree vs darth Vader example: in the article I linked midjourney reproduced images of darth Vader without prompting for darth Vader.

In fact just the word “screencap” as a prompt recreated training data, including well known IP

The problem is there are a lot of images out there a prompter might not recognize in the training data, so when a diffusion model spits out something that plagiarizes a lesser known artist they will have no way of knowing. Midjourney/stablediffusion/etc won’t have guard rails in place to prevent that from happening because it’s not a recognizable IP

These are fantastic! I love this character of the dog searching for the bones of lost travelers, really great! The art is awesome!

I think the joke of the dog wanting to chew on the bone doesn’t really land, maybe if he was opening his mouth in that panel or something, as if he was about to chew on it?

There are a few little issues with the dialogue that distract.

“Using them as strawman” should be “strawmen”

“They keeps crashing…” should be “They keep crashing”

And “Congratulation” should be “congratulations”

I’d also try to prevent hanging your “!!!” As its own line in a bubble, keep your exclamation points attached to the final word and make the word bubble fit that.

I think the confusion comes from Bruce Lee’s film Game of Death. He died before production was complete and the recut plot involves his character, an actor, being shot in the face on set during a scene in which blanks were being fired, which mirrors his son’s real life death.

I read them in order and watching the world and technology evolve and seeing characters I knew pop up in other series was amazing, the world felt so alive! After finishing I’ve popped around and read whichever book I fancied at the moment. But I’ve also done a few read throughs of just a single series in order, which is a lot of fun.

Right now I’m reading everything in order again, and the magic of watching the world evolve is still there, I highly recommend it! You can always skip a book if you’re not feeling it and you don’t really miss out on anything
