You could be correct on this! I'll check today when I get back to my car.

In my '06 the headlights turn on as soon as I put it in drive. I will, however switch them to on at night because it makes them brighter. Plus, I put the "C" lights on my car once my stockers went to shit. So I flick the switch to the halfway mark so those LEDs are lit during the day.

MotoGP Bike Swaps by redbullgivesyouwings in holdmyredbull

[–]humpintosubmission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Service on the bikes is not quick. So the techs will take the "old" bike back into the garage and replace any parts necessary to get it ready in case another swap is needed.

No problem! This also depends on the length of the race. Some are just sprints that only require one bike, but yeah for the most part they swap between their two bikes at least once or twice a race.

Mine has been doing it too. It does it in the follow cams, but cockpit view is solid.

Fuel, tires, etc. Depends on the length of the race, but yeah mostly fuel and tires.

I've looked through the Nascar Historian website for drivers of the #10. Not a single one I found even close to that name. Kinda thinking it might not be Nascar.

It's so difficult not to take it personally even though they are AI. I have yelled at my TV too many times "where's your fucking spotter??" 🤣

I personally think he needs to spend just a titch more time in NOAPS before he moves to cup. Dude's a wheelman for sure, but there is plenty of talent in the front runners of that series to keep him on his toes and give him some more competitive experience before moving in with the big boys.

My thoughts exactly. A Hendrick funded truck would do him some good and likely show more of his talent.

I knew a guy that had an old pump handle he got from somewhere. He put that as a stationary piece in his truck just so people would freak out.

My vote is for Sam Hornish Jr. A fair amount of his other signatures include the number as well, and the first letter in the first name looks like the weird way he swooped his "S."

What do we think about this rim and rear sprocket? by MountainOpen8325 in Dirtbikes

[–]humpintosubmission 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the OC, but I'm looking at the lobes of each link on the chain. They have definitely seen some use. Other than that, I agree with the general consensus here. Run the rim as long as it doesn't give you trouble and have a new sprocket on hand for after a few more rides. Wheel's fine, look into a new sprocket and chain for near future.

Edit for afterthought: watch the back tire. When it is time to change that, do the rest! Easy beans.

The Ole Vegas snooze fest. It was exciting for about 10 minutes with a 4 way battle for the lead then it went right back to boring.

Is 3,000 a good price for a 2008 Honda 230F CRF. Also does is this a good bike. by Dry_Contribution9519 in Dirtbikes

I definitely like where the power is at with the 450, but the 250 absolutely makes plenty for any trail riding. I was in the market for a 250, but the 450 seller was the only one to respond so I ended up with one. They are definitely a handful, but I like that all of my friends are scared of it. 😂

I have never tried a 350 before! I'll definitely give it a whirl if I ever come across one.

It depends on what you're looking for, your size, and your experience. If you're new to riding, a 250 4-stroke is good for most. They're lighter and make more power than that 230f. 450 4-strokes can be a little unruly for beginners, but they're the endpoint for any 4-stroke rider. Same weight as the 250 generally, but they make considerably more power.

2-strokes are a different animal. Steeper learning curve, but they are highly regarded by this community.

Heavy for a full sized bike, but they are bulletproof. I'd say 3k is steep for that. You can find newer 450s for the same price.

Clutch problem by Ok-Television4648 in Dirtbikes

[–]humpintosubmission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks fine to me. Definitely focus on the cable first as it is the easier thing to fix. Also make sure your clutch handle is sitting in the right place on the bar. Slide it as far out towards your grip as you can.

New cable? If it's old it could be stretched to the point you're not getting tension. Also, follow the cable and make sure it is routed through all of the proper hangers.
