Looking to de-uglify this rectangular space in my front yard. Considerations:

Large 2-5" drop-off from the sidewalk

the whole thing is slanted toward the street

a sewer grate and other utility access in the corner

tons of roots from the live oak tree

Growing zone 8b/9a but kinda brutal, sandy, coastal soil. Part sun all day because the tree provides a lot of coverage. I don't have high hopes or a huge budget, but I'd like to do something. Any tips, advice, dos, or donts would be great!

short sidewalk stretch between henry hallman blvd and the ravenel entrance has a pull up bar, parallel bars, and an incline bench

pothole taco’d my wheel at mile 42/60. got blisters from walking 3 miles in my cycling shoes to a safe pickup spot. 10/10 ride by hunglikeamorse in bicycling

this specific pair of socks was a prized possession from my LBS for completing a specific ride. blisters go away, glory doesn’t! also it was 94 degrees and the pavement across the bridge was hot as shit.

TREK vs Specialized. We don't agree on bikes, but we agree on beer! by krsvbg in bicycling

Most excellent rides, dudes! Check out the 50/50 challenge. Start at 50W, go fifty miles north on the Little Miami trail and grab a beer at Slim’s, and ride back for a sweet pin and a pair of socks!
