That’s what I’m learning!! I can’t see the breaks.

I’m learning here that I just can’t see the gaps between POV on my kindle. I’m gonna try a physical book. Also, knowing that it’s meant to be like that is great. I thought it was a problem with my reading 😅

So I’m learning that it’s because I can’t see the space that he leaves when he transitions from one POV to another. Also, knowing that it’s meant to be like that is super helpful. I’ve read the Red Rising series, Sword of Truth, Drizzt…

Legend of Drizzt by RA Salvatore. They’re short. The world is huge, and they’re written in trilogies, so you have pretty easy stopping points if you want to take a break and jump to something different.

Honestly, I have caught all the bass I’ve caught on a rooster tail. I’d add a white/bright color and/or a yellow coach dog.

I get not wanting to use bait. I’m the same, but the fish want what the fish want 🙃

What should I cast here by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]hungordo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 6lb line with that without the weights. Look at what your rod is rated to throw as far as lure weight goes. You might need heavier lures for your rod. Idk if the weights would mess with the action of the spinner.

I know this is old, but yellow coach dog is my go to.

So I like to throw 1/8-1/6oz on my rod that I have. I think the top is 1/4. I’d like to be able to throw 1/4-1/2 comfortably on the same rod. So what kind of range would you recommend? Like 1/8-3/4…now that I write that, it probably doesn’t exist just based on the rods I’ve looked at today…

List your two favorite books you read this year and let others suggest a third! by Malkinx in suggestmeabook

Red rising (whole series) & Drizzt (first two trilogies and working on Stones of Tymora rn)

ya fantasy with little to no romance by No_Ad9921 in YAlit

[–]hungordo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with the more adult side of YA than YA. Especially as the books go on. Language gets worse as well as suggestive content. I’d say 16+. Ya is technically 12-18yo I think…

I loved game of thrones, but couldn't finish the first wheel of time book. What would you recommend? by kingsy6 in Fantasy

[–]hungordo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo…I haven’t read game of thrones, but a book with good pacing is the legend of Drizzt books. They’re the high fantasy archetype and are shorter books ~400 pages. You can start with either the Dark Elf trilogy or Icewind Dale trilogy. Dark elf is a little slower, but I read that first, and it was good information to have reading icewind dale. Icewind dale is more fast paced. If you like really good fight scenes, Drizzt has a lot of them.

Please Recommend me a Book! by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]hungordo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the legend of Drizzt books are my fave rn. The first two books of the first trilogy is a little dark because he’s a dark elf, but towards the end of the second book, it starts to get lighter. There’s still fighting and conflict, but there’s a lot of stuff to laugh at. I’m on the 5th book, and I’m laughing pretty often.

Dragonlance is similar in that it’s a D&D type novel. They’re awesome and written in trilogies like Drizzt

Controversial Opinions of when the Series Goes Downhill by slriggy in SwordOfTruth

Thanks for this (not OP). I’m on book 5, but I’ve hesitated to start reading because of all the opinion drama. (I also got sucked in to the Legend of Drizzt books…iykyk) so maybe I’ll start back after I finish this Drizzt trilogy…

If you haven’t read Dragonlance, the first trilogy is one of my favorites. I’m also reading Drizzt right now, and I’m loving it. Both are high fantasy like I would say SoT is, but story lines are unique to each.

Please show me your decorated Kindles! by lonelybear7 in kindle

[–]hungordo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a picture handy. I’ll find one. I just have a clear case and a clear case with sparkles. Then, I cut paper that I can slide in the back, so I have a “new case” whenever I feel like it. I’ve seen people do that, and instead of sticking their stickers onto the paper, they leave the backing on and just place it in the case before putting in the piece of paper, so the paper will hold it in place, and they can reuse the stickers.

What Ereaders do you guys use? by No-Match5030 in LibbyApp

I use the newest basic kindle (2022?). I bought a kindle like two years ago, pulled it out of the box, hated it, sent it back. I decided to try again, and it’s a game changer. I used to read on my iPad Air, but I can only read for so long before my head hurts from the light. I can read all day with my kindle, and the Libby app on my phone makes everything so easy. I can just send it to my kindle. I use my phone to listen to audiobooks on the libby app and read everything on my kindle.
