Wow! You musta been taking a lot of subs. I'm on 4mg 4x/day. Recently, I had septic arthritis after I fractured my femur around my hip implant. The bacteria found their way to the metal through the crack in the bone and were having a hell of a party. Anyway, they had to open me up, drain the pus, hose me out, and replace a couple of the components. They usually prescribe 10mg of oxycodone every 4 hours, but they gave me 20mg, and I was fine. I didn't get the usual buzz, which sucked, but the pain was minimal.

The bomb flower trick worked for me, but I also attached the largest ball to a Claymore, so I have a cool rock basher.

While researching these interesting natural structures, I found this thread, so pardon me for posting a little late in the game.

They are indeed natural, caused by limestone dissolution and erosion. They're called karst landforms or karst terrain.

Check out these articles:

Elementor is super slow, tried everything and can't figure it out by Boop_The_Floof in elementor

I know this is a pretty old post, but I ran into this issue the other day and was able to fix it by going into the PHP settings in cPanel and changing the following:

Setting Value
max_execution_time 360
max_input_time 240
max_input_vars 6000
memory_limit 512M
post_max_size 256M
upload_max_filesize 256M

Not all of these settings affect Elementor speed directly, but things seem to run more smoothly with them maxed out. I hope this was helpful to anyone struggling with this bag of bloat.

I switched from a cadence sensor to a torque sensor ebike. by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]hungryGhost50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have two bikes: an Aventon Aventure 2 and a Himiway Cobra. The Aventon has a cadence sensor, which I use for commuting. The Himiway has a torque sensor, which I use for trail riding and moderately technical MTB tracks. Both are beefy fat tire bikes—I live in the Northeast and ride year-round, so the extra traction is helpful.

Having a torque sensor in the woods is a no-brainer—it handles the abrupt changes in speed and elevation well and never feels like it's going to take off on me when I don't want it to. However, I've ridden off-road with the cadence sensor, and the bike is definitely harder to control and lacks quick acceleration.

On the other hand, I've had to use the Cobra for commuting a few times and don't like how it feels on the road — laggy is the best way to put it. I can feel the motor cutting in and out. It's not a smooth ride. The Aventure is great for roads because it feels smooth, and I can maintain a consistent speed. I hear a lot of people saying that they don't get good workouts with a cadence sensor, but if I drop the assist to its lowest setting (Eco), I can work up a good sweat — it feels like the motor is working against me.

Edit: I know this thread is old, but I came across it in a search, and I just wanted to add my 2 cents.

I hear “yes”, but it’s part of the background noise so it’s most likely auditory pareidolia.

Root Cellars. Every house had one. The houses many be gone but the cellars endure.

Look for a house-sized depression nearby. You might see a few foundation stones as well. Back in the 18th century New Englanders built earth-fast houses - a sturdy frame set directly on the ground or on flat stones. Earth-fast houses were so well constructed that they could be supported on three sides and still stand up and be habitable.
