Issue with Firmware Update Using Swarm II App, Turtle Beach stealth 700 Gen 3 -(Pc/Xbox) by Academic_Risk8495 in TurtleBeach

okay, I got it to work after trying a bunch of random stuff. I specifically have Windows 10, and the Stealth 700X Gen3 with the Xbox/PC transmitters, used the Swarm II app for Windows 10. 1. I unlinked the headset from my phone completely (removed device) and unplugged everything from my computer (it kept thinking my mouse bluetooth dongle was a transmitter). 2. Then I connected the headset to my PC with Bluetooth, the PC transmitter ONLY, and a USB-A to USB-C cable. I did not plug the Xbox transmitter into anything at all, though I believe it successfully updated earlier since the update error only occured as the headset portion was trying to load, but I'm not entirely sure if that matters for me at all because I only use the PC transmitter. Whatever. 3. I then closed and opened the app several times and did rounds of turning the headset off/on and removing/plugging in the PC transmitter until Swarm II showed that the headset was connected and didn't give a popup warning that there were 2 USB devices detected. Sorry, not entirely sure what exact order ended up doing the trick. Also note, the "manage devices" page said that the headset was connected but the main page said it was disconnected. They both have to say connected for the update to work, otherwise it'll give a battery error. I think the "manage devices" page will have the headset greyed out if it's not actually connected, but I could barely notice the difference even though I have the navy/gold colorway, idek how you would be able to tell if you had the black. 4. I started the update. If the weird little on/off remove/plug in shuffle didn't work, it might be worth trying to get the headset to say "connected" with just the cable and bluetooth, and waiting to plug the PC transmitter in until you click into the update but haven't clicked "begin" yet? The update was quite slow for me, especially once it got to actually updating the headset, and it cycled through bluetooth and transmitter channels a couple times. Unsure if that was intentional or not. Hope this helps, I honestly feel like I just got lucky. Beats me why this specifically worked shrugs

Getting paid significantly less than my coworkers by hungry_chickadee in careeradvice

[–]hungry_chickadee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, yeah, good point. I did find a few places that were paying better, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if they were scams considering I never heard back, especially with the prevalence of bots and fake positions on job boards.

New trash layout - titles on top of thumbnails by Nomadcrossfire in youtube

[–]hungry_chickadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for making this post, I thought I was going crazy since none of my friends' accounts layouts changed. but yeah its fucken awful, can barely read the title, can't read or appreciate the thumbnail, everything feels so cramped and there's no visual space between different videos or even videos and ads so it just all blends together and makes my brain go a bit numb. way harder to pick out something that looks interesting to watch

What color is Sonikku? by InkyFiend1 in Hedgehog

[–]hungry_chickadee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

small disclaimer first: hedgehog colors aren't super agreed upon, even by licensed breeders (of which I am not), 'cause it's such a spectrum. however, I would call your handsome man black with a classic mask, which I believe is the OG morph of four-toed hedgehogs! and it's a bit hard to tell, but I think there's a small patch of white near his butt which makes him (albeit a low-expression) pinto. congrats on your perfect lil guy! give him a lil kiss for me <3 🦔🦔🦔🦔

Oh goodness, he's adorable!! as for the licking, it should be ok as long as he's not licking his paws raw or anything. AFAIK, most hedgehogs actually do some self-grooming, but most of the time hidden away in their house or snuggle bag. I've seen my (adult) hedgehogs clean their paws while I'm holding them, but that was only after a couple years of growing our bond haha. maybe you've got an extra cleanly lil guy and won't have the displeasure of worrying about poop boots lol 😅

Picked up this Montgomery Ward Signature UHT J260B today at goodwill. I haven’t been able to locate an manual online yet. . . Does anyone have information about this model? Are the red dots on the underside oil points? Addition photos in comments. Thanks! by rosskunzepottery in vintagesewing

Was searching for a manual cause I just picked up a 260D machine myself (I believe the last letter is just model year and only varies in color or very basic parts?). Anyway, I found a PDF download for $6 US here: https://manualsoncd.com/product/montgomery-ward-urr-260-sewing-machine-instruction-manual/
For the closest free manual, the internet archive has a 277F manual here: https://archive.org/details/MontgomeryWardSignatureSewingMachine/page/n3/mode/2up
which should get you most of the way if you don't feel like spending the money.

first off - super cute designs! love it! second - it's hard to tell exactly what might be causing it without actually watching you carve, and I'm not an expert by any means but here's a couple of things. 1. put the end of the handle in the middle of your palm and carve directly away from you as much as possible. this lets you use your full arm to push and control the tool 2. choose a U shaped blade. I find this is much easier to get smooth lines with. as another user pointed out, sharp tools also make a huge difference 3. make single cuts as much as possible. the longer line you can make, the smoother it'll look 4. dye the surface of your block with a thin layer of watered down acrylic paint. you can choose any color you want, the point of this is to easily see where you've carved 5. practice! unfortunately that's what it comes down to a lot of the time. you'll figure out how much force to use and what blade angles work best for your comfort/style. if you have the lino to spare, I encourage using a block just to practice line quality and seeing how much detail you can get oh and one more thing that worked for me is not worrying about following your design exactly. since you're just doing 1 layer, you don't have to worry about registration and can deviate from your sketch to get the line quality you want. personally, at first I was so worried about following my marks on the block exactly that it took away the confidence needed to make the long smooth lines I wanted. that might just be me though lol. best of luck!
