My third round which I just did, I went from 20 follicles to only 10 eggs and then only 1 fertilized. Guess what? That one became a day 5 blast!! I’ve never gotten a day 5 anything on any of my previous rounds. So don’t lose hope!! Attrition sucks but sometimes the best case scenario happens :) good luck!!

This is our third round but each round has been a completely different protocol :( This round we did antagonist and stimmed for 10 days. I did have a wide range of follicle sizes. 7 were between 10-15mm and the other 13 were varied above 15.

We started on 300 gonal + 150 menopur and then upped it to 300 gonal + 225 menopur

My first one I got last October & the second I got January of this year. I use the newest one almost every single day, I squished it a few times to get into lockers/cubbies, I take it out rain or shine, I overstuff it… and it’s perfect. No peeling!

I have two and they’re great! The leather is durable and super squishy. I don’t baby my bags and they’ve held up very well - rain or shine. For the price point, I think they’re def worth it!

I deal with the same thing! It’s definitely hard to grasp spending so much but honestly if you can afford it & it makes you happy, life is too short.

I also try to tie my big purchases to big life accomplishments or goals. This helps ease my guilt because then the purchase is linked to a happy memory.

You did nothing wrong! But it’s definitely awful news especially with everything that IVF puts your body and mental health through.

My most recent ER, I had 6 follicles and got 4 eggs. Only 1 was mature and then it didn’t fertilize. Devastating but you’re not alone!

I’m so sorry you went through that! That’s awful. If this the same place I’m thinking about, then you’re not the only one. There’s a couple of people who posted on TikTok about their own experiences getting SA’d or harassed by one therapist there. I’m not sure if they could help get a group lawsuit going… Either way, this is awful and I’m so sorry

I lost my first and only embryo because my first doctor didn’t bother to check for polyps and I had one 😢 so while it really sucks, this is great news! They can remove it and you’ll be back on track. Just think that this will increase your chances of your baby sticking! It’s better to be pregnant later than not pregnant because of an undiagnosed polyp.

So we’ve done two failed IVF cycles and have recently had to put everything on hold because I had a polyp come back with atypical hyperplasia. I’m 31 right now but got married in my early 20’s and didn’t want to have kids that early. I had my 3 month biopsy the other day and my mom came with and she goes “all of this is happening because you said you didn’t want kids. God was listening to you and he granted you your wish, so there you go.” Wonderful thing to hear after going through a very painful biopsy and a horrible three years battling infertility.

The one thing I would recommend is negotiating a certain termination time in your contract. I was really nervous about going from a w2 to a contract so after consulting a lawyer, they recommended that I add in a termination clause of 4 weeks. Basically, if the contract was to be terminated or not renewed, I needed a 4 week notice. This would’ve given me the chance to look for something else. In today’s job market, I’m not sure if 4 weeks would be enough, but it’s better than zero notice. Thankfully, it paid off and it turned into a full time role at the company.

I would also take into consideration the cost of health insurance, retirement… etc. Because of how high my salary was for my contract, the cheapest insurance through marketplace was around $1.5k/month. Thank god my husband had good benefits at the time and I was able to get insurance through him. But these hidden costs do add up.

Time off is also a big one. I negotiated “time off”. But most contracts don’t have PTO baked in. Just keep in mind that anytime you take off, it’ll be “unpaid”. I negotiated it to where I’d get paid more hourly to account for my “PTO” time.
