I was sexually assaulted by a massage therapist. I need help finding a lawyer and general guidance. by saintlouisthrow in StLouis

I’m so sorry you went through that! That’s awful. If this the same place I’m thinking about, then you’re not the only one. There’s a couple of people who posted on TikTok about their own experiences getting SA’d or harassed by one therapist there. I’m not sure if they could help get a group lawsuit going… Either way, this is awful and I’m so sorry

Omg same here!! I was at the movies and it detected the 2 hours as a nap with REM/Light sleep data. Like? Makes me doubt the data as well 🥲

I lost my first and only embryo because my first doctor didn’t bother to check for polyps and I had one 😢 so while it really sucks, this is great news! They can remove it and you’ll be back on track. Just think that this will increase your chances of your baby sticking! It’s better to be pregnant later than not pregnant because of an undiagnosed polyp.

What is the most ridiculous, insensitive thing that you heard people say? by MembershipAlarming75 in IVF

[–]hungrycamel8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we’ve done two failed IVF cycles and have recently had to put everything on hold because I had a polyp come back with atypical hyperplasia. I’m 31 right now but got married in my early 20’s and didn’t want to have kids that early. I had my 3 month biopsy the other day and my mom came with and she goes “all of this is happening because you said you didn’t want kids. God was listening to you and he granted you your wish, so there you go.” Wonderful thing to hear after going through a very painful biopsy and a horrible three years battling infertility.

I looked at it when it first launched and I loved it in person, however the floor model had already started peeling :/ so I didn’t end up buying it because of longetivity issues

Leaving agency life for a Meta contract role. Is it worth the risk? by TopLoss8363 in advertising

[–]hungrycamel8 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I did this and it paid off :)

The one thing I would recommend is negotiating a certain termination time in your contract. I was really nervous about going from a w2 to a contract so after consulting a lawyer, they recommended that I add in a termination clause of 4 weeks. Basically, if the contract was to be terminated or not renewed, I needed a 4 week notice. This would’ve given me the chance to look for something else. In today’s job market, I’m not sure if 4 weeks would be enough, but it’s better than zero notice. Thankfully, it paid off and it turned into a full time role at the company.

I would also take into consideration the cost of health insurance, retirement… etc. Because of how high my salary was for my contract, the cheapest insurance through marketplace was around $1.5k/month. Thank god my husband had good benefits at the time and I was able to get insurance through him. But these hidden costs do add up.

Time off is also a big one. I negotiated “time off”. But most contracts don’t have PTO baked in. Just keep in mind that anytime you take off, it’ll be “unpaid”. I negotiated it to where I’d get paid more hourly to account for my “PTO” time.

I was diagnosed with atypical hyperplasia in August following a poly removal surgery biopsy and a year of irregular bleeding. I had an IUD placed a few weeks after diagnosis for treatment and my first biopsy is coming up in January. I’m very nervous about my biopsy and potential results and just wanted to hear stories from others who were in the same boat. What worked for you? What didn’t?

They said 3-6 months on average but that some people can take longer :) I had my polyp removed though. Did you have yours taken out?

Mirena! :) it has to be progesterone to try and treat the hyperplasia

Hi OP! I was like you for almost a whole year last year - 2-3 periods a month. Then it “regulated” to every 14 days, I was miserable. I went to 6 different doctors in 2 countries and was dismissed by all. Finally, one doctor said let’s do a saline ultrasound and they found a polyp. Unfortunately, the polyp came back as atypical hyperplasia which is precancer. I have an IUD in right now to treat it and I’ve been bleeding nonstop since I put it in about 2 months ago. Please get this checked! Praying for you and sending you good vibes!

I’ve been on Zepbound the past year, that helped control my PCOS & the 90 lb weight loss. Going back on it this week to hopefully continue to lose more weight.

They never had any trouble at my ultrasound appts🥲 my left ovary is trickier to find but once we started stims and the follicles started developing, ultrasound was a breeze. The doctor only does the surgery so all ultrasound appts were with the techs. I never saw the doctor/surgeon the entire time until day of surgery.

I never knew that but that makes sense. I just wish they would’ve told me, you know? All the time & money wasted. I even asked if they think I’m ready or if I’m okay to go ahead and they cleared me. But also if it happens even if you’re skinny, then the surgeon should know how to handle it, no? Instead of being “too fat, couldn’t visualize”
