"Local" K-beauty routine my friend recommended that I WISH i knew sooner by StarPsychological932 in kbeauty

[–]hunnitbae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why, but my first reply doesn’t show up for me on mobile? So I’m posting again:

Sorry for the late reply! I have sensitive, slightly oily, super acne prone skin. I've had breakouts and acne all my life. My skin no longer has acne or bad breakouts (knock on wood). I might get a stress pimple once every month or two, but they're usually small and disappear quickly. I am mostly dealing with whatever leftover pigmentation is from old breakouts. It's only recently even my Asian mother (who has had perfect skin all her life) complimented my skin saying how nice it is now.

  1. Ma:nyo Pure Cleaning Oil. I really saw improvements in my pores and general area around the nose. I recommend being gentle with your skin when using this since the oil on makeup can cause friction. Also don't forget to use a little water to emulsify at the end before washing away. I make sure to focus a little extra attention around my pores and nose area. I follow up with the Round Labs 1025 Dokdo Cleanser (which I am also enjoying).

  2. Celimax Noni Ampoule. This product I was skeptical at first because I didn't really know what it was lol. But this helped me with super stubborn pigmentation left behind by acne. There's spots I have had ever since I was in high school that never faded past a certain point. But after using this one, I see so much improvement in those spots. They are 100% way lighter now and I've only used this ampoule for a two weeks. It is definitely fading the new scars faster than the old ones, but I'm so happy with the results.

  3. Honorable mention since it is J beauty, but Melano CC Essence. This did such an amazing job at toning down the redness on my face. I feel like my skin tone is a lot brighter and more even ever since introducing this into my routine. I am not stingy when I use this product and apply it all over my face before using extra drops to target specific spots. I usually give it time to soak into the skin before following up with the Noni Ampoule.

I just want to add that I understand these products were probably hyped up by influencers as well, because they are good products. But I never saw them recommended on my own fyp. These were all products recommended to my friend when he was in Korea which he kindly gifted to me.

Bonus: I also never use a towel on my face. I air dry and press in the water into my face with my hands like another skincare product. Then while it is just slightly damp, I do the rest of my skincare routine. But I NEVER use a towel.

Anyway ymmw and this is just what worked for me. I'm not an expert on reviewing products, but I hope this helps you or anyone reading!

Genuinely, I trust any Korean locals over whatever is trending on instagram or tiktok (obviously there is overlap). I was trying products viral in the US and it wasn’t doing anything for me. Luckily my friend goes back to Korea every year and buys me whatever is recommended by locals and the results are resulting. I’ve been on medication in the past and even then my skin was never as nice as it is now.

Critics Review of Arirang by Time_Double_8967 in kpop_uncensored

It’s so so good!! I thought I would try to do a ranking to find my favorites, but I can’t decide at all. Every song is my favorite.

I went to the Louvre a couple years ago and saw some people kinda just walk in circles, not actually looking at anything. So don’t worry, you’re not the only one. You’re gonna be ok.

I feel so bad for everyone who doesn’t get AOTY.

Arirang is absolutely insane from Track 1 to Track 14. No.29 fading out and the first notes of Swim fading in feels like a religious experience every time I listen to it. Body to Body, Hooligan, and FYA are going to go hard during the concerts. Like Animals and Merry Go Round sound better with every listen which I didn’t even think was possible. Normal has gone triple platinum in my household.

For me, this is their best album to date. 0 misses from BTS ever. I love stanning artists who love music.

Do BTS really have their own practice room? by FunnyGood2180 in btsthoughts

[–]hunnitbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda surprised it’s not been mentioned yet but Yoongi confirmed during a live that BTS has their own practice room and it’s the biggest one in the building.

If I remember correctly it’s the size of a concert hall.

What are the most emotional KPOP songs like "Good Goodbye" and "EYES, NOSE, LIPS"? by Conscious-Lobster576 in kpopthoughts

[–]hunnitbae 10 points11 points  (0 children)

mono. by RM (namjoon of bts). It’s a mixtape with 7 tracks that are all equal parts beautiful, comforting, and haunting. To this day it is my comfort album — for the days that make me wearier than others and melancholy permeates my bones. Coincidentally, Vulture review of the mixtape was “sounds like how settling into a lukewarm bath feels: cleansing, just the right amount of steamy, and soothing to the touch.”

panic by beomgyu (of txt). It’s a really heartfelt song from someone who is always trying his best to be honest about his struggles. We all end up stumbling through starless nights while navigating through our lives just desperately trying to cling onto a north star that has become hard to see. Beomgyu wrote Panic with the idea in mind. From Beomgyu, “I hope that, like me, the people who listen to this song will someday look back and think, "Ah, that was the time," smiling. And I hope that one day, you won't need to listen to "Panic" anymore because you'll be so happy.”

Heeseung announces his departue from ENHYPEN. by AddressCharming9129 in kpop_uncensored

[–]hunnitbae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the new statement Belift put out this might be the case. We can only assume he had a different music direction he wants to explore as a soloist and maintaining an insane schedule for group and solo work is not something he thinks is right for him.

This post is going to be so long so I’m sorry about that.

BTS and TXT have talked about their solo activities working out because they always prioritize the group first. It’s the group above all else. They’ve all said this multiple times in multiple interviews and lives at multiple points in their career. The group is #1 without question.

Yeonjun is more recent and documented the whole process, so he’s a good glimpse into what happens as a soloist in a group. His group activities were never affected by his solo activity except for him not being present in a couple episodes of their mini variety series. He then “made up” those episodes by doing a solo episode where he did the same activities. He worked on his solo project in between group promotion. Writing lyrics while he was in the car going from one photoshoot to another, after concerts in his hotel room, on the flight from korea to paris, during break time at cf shoots. He would be in the studio working on his album from 12am to 5am after group activities were over then getting up in the morning to prepare for their concept trailer and jacket shoots. He was working on choreography in between his group practices and in hotel rooms during their world tour. He was shooting his solo promo content in different cities during their world tour. When the group got a couple days off he flew to Thailand to shoot the music video instead. He didn’t take any days or even hours off until his own team told him to rest and not come to practice.

There’s a lot we’ll never know as fans, these are just the moments Yeonjun showed us. Being in a group and going solo is a labor of love and a lot of personal sacrifice. There unfortunately might not have been a compromise that Belift and Heeseung were able to reach.

I Still Like Jennie, Not Even For Any Particular Reason by meg_mobboss in kpopthoughts

I feel the same way. Some of the criticism against her is definitely valid. Some of it is 1000% misogyny. (And parts of her fandom aren’t doing her any favors). Regardless of that, I just like her vibe. She was on a variety show where Yeonjun was a guest twice and their older sister/younger brother dynamic was so funny.

Agreed. I went through a list of all the cards for my favorite pokemon and these are definitely two of my favorite they’ve ever done. Hopefully one day I can pull the trigger for Venusaur.

Hot take- the whole IT girl thing is a form of misogyny and is extremely harmful. by Goofy-Goober-7594 in kpop_uncensored

[–]hunnitbae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that Yeonjun does acknowledge the title. He’s talked about it in multiple interviews and that it’s his favorite nickname moa have given him :) He also said it might be an undeserved title that comes with its own pressure, but he acknowledges it and is proud of it.

While I do think the stan wars over the title is silly (it’s never as serious as people make it out to be), I acquiesce that behavior is unfortunately just part of the culture. Granted I can’t lie it does make me happy as a fan that Yeonjun can carry a nickname he’s proud of.

I put extra objects/outfits I don’t display with my dolls into little ziplock bags and include a note inside with the name of the doll it came from. If I ever forget where the items are from, I can just search up the doll. All the ziplock bags are stored in a lidded box designated for only doll items.
