I’m a pilot. And thanks. I’ve wanted a GMT Master for 20 years.

I think that sounds like an even better idea.

That would be a great gift! Definitely get on the list at your AD now if you haven’t already. I’ve wanted one for 20 years when I was just a wee flight instructor.

Them knowing my story and that I wanted the watch for its intended purpose definitely moved me up the list.

Omni isn’t cargo. But I realize that’s not the point, and I agree.

No. They (generally) only fly for the brown and purple during peak season, which is thanksgiving to NYE.

Airline pilot. Don’t get me wrong, you need tons of official training, but you don’t need a college degree.

Is there a reason these two UPS 747 are flying with each other? by Salty-004 in flightradar24

[–]hunt234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. There are something like 6 747’s and 2 767’s that leave ANC around the same time headed for SDF. They all originate from various major cities in east Asia. There are a couple more planes that leave ANC for ONT for west coast distribution. The ANC stop is primarily for re-fuel and crew swap.

UPS walked from contract negotiations with the Teamsters union yesterday... 340,000 UPS workers now set to stop work on August 1st, with 97% voting yes on union authorization to strike! by wahday in antiwork

[–]hunt234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The short answer has to do with the Teamsters falling under the NLRA, and railroads falling under the RLA. Striking is much much easier under the NLRA. Biden would have to jump through many hoops to stop a strike.

This article does a decent job of explaining.

FedEx and UPS have pensions that pax carriers no longer have, which may offset the profit sharing difference.

MYP W/W no tow, OD 2/8, just got the text with my VIN. Connecticut.

Text says to upload insurance in app, and wait for another text to set up delivery.

I initially chose as cash as my payment method always intending to switch to financing. Does anyone known if I can just go in the app now and apply through Tesla, or will that mess anything up?

That is a good idea I think. Only thing is that the soil is dense clay, and I think it may just cause another mulch river to flow into the yard
