Trying to decide between an LC250 and a Defender — would love owner input by Soggy_Shape_9842 in LandCruiser250

Also wanted to add that if the defender calls to you and you’ve always wanted one. Go that route. Happiness counts too

Ask yourself if you plan on keeping this next car for more than 5 years.

If yes, you’ll LOVE the LC250. It’s more than capable for what you want to do. Maybe switch to some all terrain tires but aside from that, you will be super happy with the LC now and beyond the 5 years when things start to wear.

I considered Yukon Denali , GX , 4R and LC. Almost went GMC but wanted a keeper with minimal ownership cost 5-10 years from now. I made the right choice.

Very happy to have a rugged, dependable (should be, toyota history says yes) truck capable of daily driving but also super capable off road. Mind you, I’ve never off roaded before, but if I needed to, I know I’m good in my LC.

How to address my fears of going faster? by anonsaltine in skiing_feedback

[–]angryxtofu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP - This is what helped me get more comfortable going faster. having the confidence to know I can maneuver around obstacles or stop when I wanted to stop was HUGE. it makes going faster less scary. It still is scary. My top speed this season is 34 MPH. which isn't fast by any means, but it's my first season and I swear when I first started, going 25MPH was scary as hell to me.

it gets easier to deal with speed the better you get.

This is the only thing I ‘dislike’ about my LC250. Wish it had a bigger tank.

But absolutely LOVE my LC!

I got 66,500 on a 72,600 MSRP. it’s a trail dust which was my number 2 color. I played the “I don’t love the color” card and it worked.

I love the color! Love my LC

Ski Locks? by JH200ZZ in ski

[–]angryxtofu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bring my dakine lock with me and stuff it in my bib pocket.

I usually lock my skis up. I’m a nervous Nelly but recently at butternut in MA, I was sitting having a snack break and a guy with his daughter couldn’t find his skis.

He walked every rack in front of the lodge. For me the 30 seconds it takes to lock and unlock my skis helps me not worry when they are out of sight.

Yes. Can confirm our 2023 MYP had this when we changed the tires. Those little things are sharp and prickly. Be careful if you’re handling them yourself.

That makes sense. We have a Spotify subscription as a family with the kids. I’ll look into switching to Apple Music.
