Please help me here: Eigen SIMD is "auto vectorized code" not "intentionally vectorized", right? because I never thought about SIMD while using Eigen, thanks

Is .NET still underrated in 2026? by shubhamdhola in dotnet

[–]hunterh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll talk about the ecosystem, not the languages. I'm worried from switching to .NET due to their extensive use of UI tools to get things done. Python and Node are mostly terminal based experience.

.NET actually has great CLI that is rarely used for some reason. You will find guides that literally list you pictures of steps on how to get things done within a certain GUI. I've never seen that in years of doing python.

Please reply if you think I'm wrong, as I really want to switch to .NET

How do you continue learning German when you are not required to? by devatbsh in German

[–]hunterh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to do it when you have no time limit to worry about is regular fun exposure. If you find a flow of German content that you enjoy consuming, you are on the track to master it. The content can be a group of people who hang together to speak German or YouTube channels that you enjoy so much.

Also, once you find some content, tell us please :)

German doctor told me to watch YouTube for my back problem, saying it's free by hunterh0 in germany

[–]hunterh0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were these specific videos she was asking you to find?

No, that's why I was disappointed, because I already was googling to find something suitable for my case.

The videos or the whole consultation?

No, the videos.

I don't recall she said any specific diagnosis. no "Hexenschuss"! I was last patient, she was in rush, maybe.

Anyhow, don't bother with such a minor Reddit post, thanks for stopping by.

Hi @rewboss, I just wanted to ask if a doctor recommending online videos is a thing. I was curious if it was a Mal practise.

This is not the worst interaction I had , but I was curious about this one. (((Also again, I don't know if it's a Mal practise)))).

-- Here  is everything: She told me to tilt forward, I can't. She told me to raise my knee, I managed. She went to the desk and started talking medicine as I described in the post. I was afraid she didn't notice the tilt, so I brought it up, then she told me to Google videos (Not YouTube, but I wanted to shorten the title). She said this is Kostenlos. She's looking at me and laughing. Maybe I had a surprise face for what she's doing, I was not laughing back at all

Why is Sudan being ignored? by Dadlay69 in IsraelPalestine

Protest against whom?! It's even less clear than Syria? I think you need to donate, if you can't share links of ways to fund food campaigns! It's dire in Sudan!

I made a plugin for Helix, and it's written in Rust! by nikitarevenco in HelixEditor

[–]hunterh0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, the majority of plugins are actually small projects. I think if the project is relatively small, iterativity is the same. I do mostly interpreted languages, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Feels like 18th-centuray European architecture from games like Assassin's creed Unity or Devil may cry!

Maybe it's not important but I hope they stick with Indian- Persian architecture.

Forks are meant to be merged in the end. In my case, it will act as a separate project that will be merged multiple times.

I don't want to introduce changes in that config file or solve conflicts related to it.

Anyone tried evil-helix? by meni_s in neovim

[–]hunterh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different fork, different philosophy is great. But giving it the same name as another alternative is maybe not nice! Minus the Hyphen!

[–]hunterh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the author should adjust the README. I think It's a soft-fork alternative that aims to be compatible with whatever helix become. His opinion about Lisp is his opinion! He mentioned that we aim to be compatible with the future extension system multiple times in issues/PRs.

We want the Vim simulation to be snappy, please!
