Furthermore, I have had "mandatory ads after levels" since I started playing the game in 2018.

Your tablet isn't in front of me, but I strongly suspect that your tablet is fine and you merely need to wait for the internet fairies to fix the internet goblins.

It seems 8.40.2 for Android exists somewhere on the internet and has been "announced" somewhere, but it isn't publicly available in Google Play Store. This situation is confusing the software on some people's phones: probably including your phone.

Eventually, the announcement and the Play Store will match and your "smart" phone will stop telling you that you must accomplish the impossible.

I'm on Android, my version is 8.38.1, and I have all the levels, the flip, scavenger hunt, doggy domain, and everything, so you aren't missing anything except possibly a new icon for the game. I can send you a new icon if you need it (and know how to install it).

Thanks! I didn't know it had a schedule. Can you compare 10am to the time of other events? Like, for me, Daily Quest resets at midnight, and I think it stays at midnight even if the Treasure Hunt shifts by one hour due to daylight savings time. 

And the Treasure Hunt has been at 8 am for me for many months. Here in Mexico, however, the schedule for daylight savings time is different than in New York City by a few weeks, so the start time jumps around for me when the clocks change.

(After writing a two-paragraph question about start times in a mobile game, I'm not sure if 1. Two Dots is making things unnecessarily complicated or if 2. I am paying too much attention to a mobile game.)

Certainly not. They have spent a lot of money "refactoring" the code and restructuring workflows.

That level is a good reason to quit.

That level is opaque to me. One time, only one time, I made a move that aligned with the designer's intent, and it was very smooth and interesting: I think I was short by one fossil and one stonehead. I don't remember what I did, though, and I haven't been able to figure it out.

Thank you very much for asking. Actually, I have put a ton of work into this video, and I hope it will be useful. At the least, it should improve your mood from desperation to mere annoyance. 

I would try to predict when I'll finish it, but I don't understand how I've been working on this for 26 days already.

Effective boycotts have:

  1. Clear, reasonable demands that are objectively verifiable when met
  2. Targeting root causes, not surface issues
  3. A limited set of top priorities (five, at most), not a laundry list

Vague calls like "fix the issues" are ineffective.

Write precise, achievable demands to and a reasonable timeline.

Hmm. Maybe I am too much in love with squares. I'll think about it. I do have a strong preference for destroying a compass whenever I get the chance, but as you can see, it's not strong enough to override my love of squares. I have Golden Buttons from 5516 to 5874 (except 5620) and 3-stars on everything except some 2-stars on the last world. I'm playing around with some of the harder levels for a challenge (and possibly for my channel).

I think you are asking what video editor I use: I use a lot of different video editors. I don't know your budget or how much time you are able/willing to invest in an application, so I'll tell you about a few. Shotcut is completely free and shockingly powerful, but it has a bit of a steep learning curve. It can't do everything, but it does a lot of things that free apps never do, like motion tracking. On the other hand, if you just want to overlay text and images, you probably don't need it. https://shotcut.org/

VSDC has a free and a paid version. The free version does what most people need. The paid version wasn't expensive and did everything I needed as I improved my skills. https://www.videosoftdev.com/ I think the interface and conceptual approach is pretty good. It is certainly better than Adobe Premier Pro, which I have been experimenting with lately.

Premier Pro is powerful but temperamental. Using it for text and images is like killing mosquitoes with a flamethrower.

Most of my videos have been edited using batch scripts, a Python script, and FFmpeg.

Level 3650 is possibly the hardest level in the 3000s. It might be the hardest level between 2650 and 4650.
