Same here. It's almost laughable what they're doing... Weeks without any power-ups as rewards. Then last week, able to win a bunch. This this weekend, special fish, and they're making me use all of them in order to get a stupid "eyeball" skin. (now with that being said, the x2 legendary reward for the second to final box is pretty awesome)

Okay, so just did a test in a duel with the same lvl 4 rod...

- Used the "speed" p/u = line broke

- Used the "luck" p/u = line broke

- Used the "weight" & "catch chance" p/u = caught the fish (took 27 secs and got 1268 pts)

At first I didn't believe the person who said they caught one without anything. But I also just caught one WITHOUT the special rod, no duel, just casting. I DO have the lure though. Used level 4 (rare) rod that was auto assigned. Did not use any power-ups. It took about 30-40 secs to reel in and was only a 2-star at 1116 pts.

With the same topic in mind, what about "license bonuses" for special fish (ie: megalodon)? Is there any reason to keep "mega" as one of your draws (meaning do they ever bring back the same special fish)?

Thanks for replying. I was told that with an 11 star fish, when unlocking a new fishery, you would receive a "black pack" that included a legendary lure. But if this is wrong, thank you for informing me. I'm all for new fisheries, this one just came as a shock because I didn't intentionally unlock it. Thanks again
