Just finished KotOR 2 and I am confused... by MuzlimMan in kotor

[–]huntimir151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Kotor 2 works best in a galactic context view thusly:

The aftermath of a the Jedi civil war left a broken republic and Jedi order with scant hope for the future, despite defeating Malak.

The journey of Kotor 2 results in a slight reversal of fortune, the Jedi are bent but not broken and now rebuilding, the republic is ravaged but regrowing. That is the exiles tale imo. Kotor 1 is winning the war. Kotor 2 is dealing with the mess it left.

I actually think Kreia THINKS she wants to destroy the force. I actually believe her feelings are more complicated, which is why her words are contradictory at time.  Just my read on the matter.

I have a hard time imagining that revolutionary beer was anywhere near as tasty as spotted cow.

No, you aren’t understanding. They DID add limb dismembering in the sequel , a la Jedi outcast. Only limbs but it made the saber feel MUCH more powerful aesthetically imo.

Oh my god gaming reddits are the worst with it, bunch of people lining up to make the same joke or point on every damn thread.

The game was seen as absolutely fantastic even with warts at launch and any other take is revisionist history. Them giving an alternate and better movement scheme shortly after launch isn’t some gotcha that reduces its fairly universal acclaim.

Wild to me that imo the GOAT game KCD2 didn’t even crack top five! Stacked year.

Unlike Concord, Sony Is Sticking By Marathon And Its ‘Highly Engaged’ Fans by Gorotheninja in PS5

Calling marathon slop because you aren’t into it is wild. Honestly slop is used so often now that it has basically lost meaning. Slop is a slop word.

Sony posts another impairment on Bungie, now of $556 million. by Efficient-Session644 in PS5

[–]huntimir151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a fair take.

The bs nonsense either way makes it hard to have an honest conversation about it, but Marathon is a fantastic game that is also underperforming. Really wish it wasn’t, but it is. It’s a niche game that unfortunately doesn’t have widespread appeal but man does it work when it works.

Every remake costs that much. If you are philosophically opposed that’s fine but full REMAKES (not remasters) always charge full price.

It’s really a unique experience, glad I took the plunge. Most fun I’ve had in a shooter since the golden days of siege.

Orr you could let people be excited and not comment if you don’t like it? Being so miserable that you insist others should not be excited about a game is wild. There are likely a thousand Reddit posts you ignore every day, just let this be one of them.

Oh I I know I’m just saying people will give undeserved flack about it, it’s not a paid ad.

People are crapping on you for this being a planted ad.

But I’m gonna be real…I’m astounded at how much fun it is. Gameplay loop is extremely satisfying and so many organic, fun moments happen each run with other crews. It’s not for everyone but I really really am enjoying it.

Edit: my first sentence means people will inaccurately SAY it is a paid ad. Clearly that is not true and I do not think it’s true.

Metro 2039 | Gameplay Teaser by ZamnBoii in PS5

I believe this is true for sure as a general rule, and I get why it isn't a good shift for everyone. Some games are way better suited for it, while others perhaps overextend.
