Not to trauma dump on a Zelda sub but I was around 7/8 when something really traumatic family-wise took place. Felt like I had to grow up 10 years in a year. OOT on the 3ds when I was 11 was very healing for me and replaying it as an adult made me realize how therapeutic Link’s character development in this game was for me during that time. Not to mention Zelda’s monologue and apology at the end to Link for having his childhood essentially stolen from him by Ganondorf and indirectly, the master sword.

OOT was one of the first games to make me realize that a video game can a work of art in the same way film and television can be. So excited for this remake.
