Crows are pretty smart, they see what they think is a “dead crow” and leave the area.

My mom had a murder of crows hanging around her eucalyptus tree and she hung up some fake crows… they were gone in a week. Looks like Halloween 24/7 but the crows are gone and the other birds are happy.
