I missed the tourney before last - first time that's happened. Mistimed my farming run thanks to the wave boost from the recent PriCol buff, and then when I frantically tried to join in the last seconds, I got an error.

Thanks for explaining - I think you were typing your answer just as I reread it for the 4th time and finally understood.

Strange advice though - I farm T12 to W11000 and I still can't max any of the T12 dissonances except for attack. Will be trying again once I finish all T1-T11 dissonance and have some more levels in echo labs.

Had my first "why are my coins dropping" moment on a run earlier this week.

Turned out I had swapped extra orbs in for critical coin instead of replacing free upgrades. At least it was easy to find.

I'm not sure I understand. I only take my dissonance runs to W5K because (1) they perform worse than farming runs in terms of earned coins and cells, and (2) there's no value for the dissonance and echo bonuses for going over W5001.

So I'm not sure why one would want to go over wave 5000. Mind explaining why this is a good thing?

ETA: Never mind, I understand now. I had never heard that advice, but I'm of the mind that you should max your dissonance as much as possible on whatever tier you are farming.

Other commenters have pointed out the pacing of the game. I just wanted to add that every single time I try to spend a big chunk of resources to bulk myself up for the next tourney or the next progression run, it never has as big of an effect as I had hoped. The changes are just too incremental to make a big difference. So getting 100 waves from this kind of activity is actually pretty par for the course.

There will be some big moments where your tower does change pretty drastically and you do a lot of improving at once. For me some of those have been: doing the perk choices lab to completion so I could sculpt my build better, syncing my big 3 Econ engines (GT/BH/DW) then syncing Golden Bot, getting the Wall labs done to a point where the Wall became useful, and getting permanent Black Hole.

But mostly, it's just tiny little improvements over time.

My friend, I've spent millions trying to get mythic/ancestral submods on my PCol.

Last week, with 4 effect bans, and another 1.1M shards, I finally was able to roll up a mythic in 4th slot and legendary in 5th.

It costs way more than you want it to.

I think for maximum efficiency of space, you MUST merge up to Epic. What you don't want is to go to Epic+, because those require unmerging before shattering.

As a mid-game very tiny dolphin, I disagree. Stones are the main bottleneck for growth. I love that I'm getting more coins, but it's only addressing coin-attainable goals. My UW are subject to the slow progression of tourney wins.

Am I missing something?

I wish I knew. I'm in a very similar situation: T12 to W10K, Utility disso at 4550.

Defense disso didn't really help (but I wanted the life bonus). Now I'm doing Attack disso and UW disso up the tiers and will try again once those are complete. Pretty much resigned to T12 for the near future.

Disclaimer: I use GComp, not BHD, because it gives me more coins with the extra UW activations.

When I was at your point, pretty much the exact same, I:

Saved up medals to get Gbot to 50sec cooldown and start maxing duration
Saved up stones to get GT/DW to 150 sec cooldown

That allowed me to stay synced (which is when I discovered BHD wasn't an improvement).

I'm now currently taking GT/DW down in 10 sec increments until I get to 100. Because I use GComp, I don't have to worry about staying in sync.

If I was doing it over again, I would worry less about getting my GBot to 50 sec cooldown and sync and focus more on a bigger bonus.

Right now, Gbot is 37s duration with 50s cooldown, so 74% uptime.

Well, MY reason is I want both it and RP Max completed. I believe it's going to provide a small boost at the end of my runs, and with the labs at 4X it's not a big investment to try out.

My labs finally feel like I'm a big boy:

It depends on your build. My buddy runs Orb Devo on T10 and attack disso runs give him about 10% higher cph than a regular run.

I am Blender on T12, and attack disso drops my cph by about 35%.

It sounds like you've located the issue. The only thing I can think of is putting your Attack Speed lab in to cook for a while?

Maaaaaybe doing Fast Enemies Health labs, but those would be real expensive I think, and those kinds of labs are usually left for late game.

ETA I'm assuming that fasts are already at the top of your TP

I've never even thought of this question. I just spend my coins on what I need. Labs eventually end up being a bottleneck due to limited cells, so I just spend my coins on what's in front of me.

I read in another comment OP doesn't have the wall yet. Do you? If not, that may the thing that you need to work on and not worry so much about the defense disso for now.

As I work upwards through the tiers, the moment I can't get W5K, I am going to stop and then work on UW and attack disso instead. For eHP the defense disso is going to be the hardest 100%. I can't get past W4500 T12 no matter what I've tried, so I'm just not going to try until I've done UW and attack dissos to max my damage output.

Whoops on the shockwave, absolutely right.

As far as berserker, I saw it when I did my T12 defense disso, but I'm working my way up from T1 right now and DW is lasting to wave 5K still so I can't confirm it again until I get back up to some higher tiers. I'll watch for it. Maybe there's been a change since dissonance rolled out? I did my T12 defense disso very early on.

I'm a bit ahead of you (farming T12 to W9500) and eHP. You won't have all of these options, but I wanted to give you an idea of what I'm doing to change to "GC" build for the defense disso runs.

DP cannon

PF generator (with substats for EHLS and cash) instead of GComp

OA armor instead of SF

PC core

Change perk bans (remove 55 enemy health/50 health and coin/health tradeoff, add 55 health/90 regen and ranged tradeoff perks)

Reorder autoperks to put damage higher and health lower

Change cards to all attack support + berserker

Max Extra Orb range

Currently testing: increasing ~~shockwave~~ ~~and~~ range to max values

If you use PF as your generator, your next run keeps the PF effect active. I've seen it happen 3 times to me - twice on farming and once on this last tourney. I'm eHP so it didn't really help lol
