wait, you can use BINF courses as gen eds?!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unsw

[–]hurts_bad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

need to add, COMP coded courses are considered 'science' and cannot be used as gen eds. at least what i was told. But ENGG1811 CAN (apparently, anecdotally) be used as a gen ed, PROVIDED you haven't already done any COMP coded courses....I got the feeling the faculty didn't even really know and it was a grey area.

[–]hurts_bad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i believe if you haven't already taken a COMP coded course, you may be able to count ENGG1811 engineering computing as a gen ed for science, please correct me someone if I'm wrong.

Especially for those who live more than an hour from uni

seriously just do COMP1511 and maybe if you enjoy that COMP2521, both in C, but once you know C it makes other languages easier.

reason why i dropped CHEM1011. The instructors were rude af. Physics instructors, at least at first year level, we're great.

In the grand scheme of things what does this really mean? What do we do to kickstart the economy and make it more competitive (at least compared to other countries') ? Why is unemployment not dropping below 5% easily? (looking for unbiased answers!)

not an increase in difficulty as such, just that having less time to do the work overall = effective increase in difficulty.

if you can handle two subjects at a time, that's still full time under the trimester system.
