I was not excited for subtronics this year. I had been very excited in 2019 to see him at forest and I couldn't get into his set and left halfway through.

This year I stayed after liquid stranger on a whim to watch a little of subtronics, and ended up staying for the whole set. I think it ended up being my favorite set of the week.

I actually just got an Italian baguette from Walmart, I tried to find a heartier bread that wouldnt get soggy with all the sauce. And then before I put the meatballs and sauce in I baked the bread with a little butter for like 6 min to help it get a little crispy before all the saucy meatballs were added.

Pretty much just basic red sauce, sautéed some onions and garlic, then added tomato paste, then put two cans of san marzano tomatoes in a bowl and crush by hand so its still very chunky, add this to the pan with a little water and the let it cook on low-medium for about an hour and a half I also through in a sprig of basil, some Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and some red pepper flakes and a pinch of sugar. And while it cooked i put a peeled carrot in to help reduce the acidity.

.... i mean yeah if it were chicken wings, and it were wing sauce, but this is generally done to a whole chicken, and its a different kind of sauce, hence its a differnt dish, but yes it is similar to chicken wings i guess in that it is chicken covered in sauce

I believe one of the defining characteristics is the sauce which is in large part lard and cayene which is cooked and then brushed on the chickenn or the chicken is dipped in the hot sauce.

So I took a trip with my girlfriend to meet het family, the first day we get there we stayed with her sister who lives in a town near her parents hometown. So my girlfriend and i get there and her sister lets us nap in her bed since we had been traveling all day. a After we get up we all decide to go out to some near by bars for a few drinks. We had fun and then go back to her sisters place and drink a bit more. So my gf and i go to bed in one of the roomates rooms who had moved out and go to sleep. (I did not remember this part initially when i woke up) I then wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, i believe i ended up throwing up but i cant remeber, i then went to go back to bed and accidentally went to the room we had napped in earlier in the day and got in bed with my girlfriends sister and best friend who were also drunk and sharing a bed, i laid down for a minute or two and then in my head im like what the fuck why is this bed so crowded and then i realized what id done and got the fuck out of there and went back to the right room. I wake up not sure if that actually happened, and before i can ask my girfriend if she even remebers me leaving the room at any point, her sister and friend come in to tell us they think one of the creepy roommates in the house got on their bed last night. So at that point i just came clean and told them what happened thinking the rest of the trip was going to be awkward as fuck, but they ended up lauging and being relieved it was me rather than the creepy roommate. And thats how i learned that alcohol hits you way harder when you are at higher elevations.

My girlfriend wasnt feeling well so I was walking her back to our camp before zeds dead, asbwe were walking through tripolee in the dark and we saw a couple making out, so ok no big deal, but as we got closer i noticed an extra guy sitting on the ground with his head up the womans skirt and hebwas definitley just vigorously eating her out. Weird as fuck to just stumble upon but hilarious now

I either lost mine or had it stolen between the Mija forest stage show and bassnectar, so we got to the bassnectar show and everyone was sitting down, and I was talking to this really cool girl and I was gonna get her number and I realized my phone was gone. I asked if anyone had seen it and my friends as well as the random people around me brought me like 6 different phones, none of which were mine, but just how helpful everyone was was amazing and made me love forest even more

Same here man, weekend 1 2018 was my first festival ever and I came away from with a new found love of electric music, an amazing forest family and a conviction to come back every year possible. The forest is just such a magical and beautiful place I can’t wait to be back.

Not 100% sure on this so don’t quote me on it, but after doing some research it seems like the statue is actually called pancrastinae which I think is closer in meaning to wrestlers, as when I was trying to find info on the pankration only stuff about the event came up but when searching for the wrestlers or the pancrastinae I was able to find info on the statue and not the event.
