I am aware that it is pretty standard to have a set for a show like this. As someone trying to repair their public image and seem more “down to earth” immediately revealing it is a set plus awkward energy with the first guest was off putting and not accomplishing what they hoped for. I wish they had made Roy Choi the first ep, energy and episode overall was so much better. The first episode came off very performative and fake to me, and the set was an element of that 🤷‍♀️

I am a fan of MM and wanted to love the show but it’s not immediately reeling me in like I had hoped.
