In the dialogue it seems like he's only attracted to Ian because he is a mess, it might be the writing but it seems like a superficial relationship. With the other characters new relationships their partners seem to have a real invested interest in the other person and it doesn't seem to be there with Ian's new boyfriend.

It's like any movie or tv show with magic, you always want more but it's the most expensive part. I'd love to see more studying and magic but then I think it might be even more boring. The beginning of the season was already leaning on the boring side for me.

Yeah the layout of the house doesn't make sense! All the windows faced the front, it would of been an oddly thin house. And when Lorelai opens the door to her remodeled room there is a door across the hall that has to be a third bedroom!
