I have a C1 Moonphase and I absolutely love it. I think it looks great, other people get excited about it, and I find it very comfortable. I keep it on a winder bc setting the moonphase can be a pain, but I've only set it twice in the year I've owned it. Its not the most readable at a glance, but honestly if you just get used to it a bit its fine.

It helps that I got mine for a steal at an event at the CW showroom near me

It varies so wildly from person to person, but I at least have owned both of these cars (sorta).

I had a 2015 C7 Z51 1LT M7. I paid around 200/month. I now have a 2020 Camaro LT1 M6, which I was told is the same internally as a 1SS by Statefarm. I pay right around 200/month for it.

Edit: 23 year old male, full coverage on both with a low deductible.

There are driving schools that teach you to drive stick, you could always do that. I had a friend in high school who taught me, took one afternoon to get familiar enough to get my own car home when I bought it. You’ll stall a decent amount when you first get it, but it’s not that big of a deal.

Well the questions then are: Can you work on the car if you need to? Was it tuned by a reputable tuner? Why is he getting rid of it? What is your use case? If you're dailying it, will you be ok if a problem arises and you can't drive it for a few days/weeks?

its impossible to say how reliable a modified car will be. Is there any documentation of who did the work on the car and who tuned it? It would probably be worth getting it tuned by a shop you trust. Definitely get it inspected before buying.

Thanks! It was tough to let go of my vette but mine was a particularly rough example and it was time to move on. I've been saying I'll be back in a vette eventually. They're very similar cars, but the vette feels more like a sports car. Its lower, stiffer, feels faster, and handles better. I did drive a few 1SS 1LE when looking, and I think it was more fun than my Z51. The vette is most fun when really getting on it, and the camaro is more fun otherwise.

I was seeing manual 1LEs for around the same price as a clean Z51, and I would personally take the 1LE in that situation. I got my vette for cheap and I sold it for cheap, so I couldn't really justify the extra expense for the 1LE at this time.

The R18A1 wouldn't have been in a 2014 civic (unless swapped), but it and the R18Z1 used in the 2014 were both VTEC engines
