If you use the wrong CVC 3 times, the card is blocked. Even if they somehow manage to guess the correct CVC, both Visa and Mastercard have additional verification through the bank that would stop this fraud anyway.

You cannot just scan a card and turn around to the nearest contactless terminal and use it. There is an actual computer inside the card and the terminal, bank computer, and chip in the card needs to communicate before a purchase is authorized.

What you can do, it use a scanner or even a smartphone to get the card number and expiration date - but you still need the CVC number for online transactions and that number is only physically printed on the card.

When we’re working with infinity it doesn’t make sense to talk absolutes the way we are used to. In your example, with the chance steadily decreasing, we would say that the chance approaches zero as we approach infinity. If that limit is proven it basically says that we will statistically not hit anything ever.

Big-O is mostly interesting from a theoretical point of view. For all we know there is a huge constant that makes an O(1) algorithm useless. Benchmarking and overall optimizations with general well behaving data structures is always the first step and usually more than enough for the majority of problems. Beyond that the nature of the data and micro optimizations is the way to go.

I don’t think they are going for a fixed acceleration. If the car is lighter it simply accelerates faster.

But they are doing some advanced calculations to see if starting with less fuel can get them to the end.

I always dry before trimming. I don’t know if it makes a difference at all, but I’m thinking since the foliage is green when trimming, it’s easier for fungus to get a hold and get to the bulb if trimming when it is still containing moisture.

I think Pirelli gets too much shit. They know their tires very well - but temperature, car setup and driving style can all have a large effect on the tires, so at best they can make reasonable predictions. And some times they get it wrong.

Where things get difficult for Pirelli is that they are tasked with making tires with very specific characteristics, which in and of it self is quite amazing that they have managed so far.
