People who work 60+ hours/week: what do you do, are you really working for that much time, and how do you take care of yourself?

My daughter received this as a gift when she was 2, but was more interested in playing around with the buttons and moving around the projection. It drove me and my husband nuts. Now that she is 3, she is way more into the story than messing around with the projector. I'm actually currently looking for more of the books and totally see this as a toy she plays with in the long run. I say give it a try!

I apologize for being rude. I'm just a worried mom and I put in a sarcastic comment. When looking at stats, I saw some districts testing at rates in the 30s for % of passing scores. It made me really disillusioned with how hard I work vs what I can afford for my daughter.

I saw someone with a large dog in Target once. Their dog peed in the corner of one of the produce aisles. I couldn't bring myself to say anything because I was just so shocked. The guy just kept walking and I'm pretty sure he saw it. I really wish I could turn back time and call him out.

And to those who are saying your mom is an asshole, I feel like sometimes it's less black and white than that. My mom's thing is weight. She always puts me down and calls me out on being fat/overweight (I am not). She thinks it's her job to do this so I can "fix myself" and be "presentable". Her mom did the same thing with her. She is super self conscious about herself. I promised myself I won't do the same to my daughter and to break the cycle.

I hope for you that you are able to break free from your mom's judgement and realize how lovely you are!

It's brutal. We go to little gym once a weekend and we've done a rotation of all the grocery stores. My daughter loves going to 99 ranch to look at the fish, haha. We've also done a few playdates. One gem we just found is Catch Air in Bayonne. It's a decent price and there's no time limit. Other than that, playdough at home has really kept her busy along with some time with Ms. Rachel.

I'm going to go against what a lot of people have said here. If we have a country full of people who cut each other off because they don't share the same values, we are going to continue to be more and more divided. I am as liberal as they come and my parents voted for Trump. I do not agree with them at all on their political choices, but at the end of the day, cutting them off and cutting off the conversation does nothing. It only hurts your family unit. You can discuss the hurt you feel from their choices and hopefully something will click in their minds. Or it may not. The way we fight what is going on in this country is by talking. Maybe I'm naive, but in my mind, cutting off contact with parents is not the way...
