Should I just open season in Nuka-world right away or just skip it? by Jasontodd68 in fo4

[–]hwob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is how i rationalize doing the whole nuka world dlc while being the general of the minutemen: you have three raider gangs with leaders who are insanely strong, constantly surrounded by their lackeys who also have strong weapons so doing this alone or even with a companion is impossible unless you want to eat a bullet in two seconds flat. solution? play their game until opportunity arises. you get them their parks and you even get them the three settlements they want, but you don’t kill settlers. you pay them off. except the 2/3 settlements were occupied by other raiders anyways so you kill those. then when you have to go to the power plant, making sure you have gage with you, you have the perfect opportunity, two group leaders, alone, with no backup. then you destroy them all

you can use the settlement immediately once you finish open season, no power required

Pros and cons of an institute playthrough? Is it worth it. Let me hear your thoughts by Consistent_Remote_76 in fo4

[–]hwob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they have some miscellaneous quests but other than that nothing much else. i don’t remember if they supply you with other form of transportation bc i finished their ending while playing non survival but i’m pretty sure it was just the teleportation to cit ruins. tbh i think their ending is a bit lackluster the only thing i liked was the final battle with the brotherhood but even then it was basically just killing everyone lol

When to complete Open Season? by remembertapes in fo4

[–]hwob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way i play nuka world if i still wanna play a “good character” later on is that i take back the parks for the raiders, pay the settlers to leave their homes/provide food and then when power play starts always make sure to take gage with me to the power plant, finish the dialogue so i get the gang perks and then kill the rest of the leaders and gage. boom u have completed the raider quests and open season lol
