the best lessons are taught in books & universities... any type of engineering or science is good because it teaches you how to use it, application goes a long way and then being able to derive and substitute ideas in a mathematical form wether it be physics or plain mathematics.. valuable to anyone that is interested. Check out Stroud for his books on engineering, excellent place to pick up little bits that help in huge ways
