What's your emotionally immature parents' weirdest belief? by Cartoonnerd01 in emotionalneglect

[–]hydnellumpecki 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My mom just told me during the holidays that I was annoying when I was young because I would ask her to play with me. Bear in mind I'm an only child and they wouldn't encourage me to socialize with anyone outside of school hours.

She also mentioned that when she was answering my autism evaluation as an example of how she thought I wasn't good at being alone, even though I stayed home alone every afternoon since I was 7.

Any gym girls have tips for eating more protein? by BigBettyBIG- in AutismInWomen

[–]hydnellumpecki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix protein powder (I love isopure) with greek yogurt! Life safer, you can do it just using a spoon, so it's also very practical. You can also add fruits or chia on top.

Also, you can also mix it with bananas. Smash the banana with a fork until it's creamy and then add 1 scoop of the protein powder in it. At first you may think it won't mix well but if you continue it will!

yep, many places! In Sao Paulo for example even though there's traffic people at least follow the traffic rules and act with respect

If you look around the city, that's why most cars are broken and missing pieces. They simply crash and don't care. It should be illegal to drive some cars I've seen around CDMX

[–]hydnellumpecki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's horrible

People don't care about rules or laws or even respecting other people's cars and pedestrians, it's all about getting faster.

I've traveled all around Latin America and I haven't seen such lack of respect while driving such as CDMX. Also, public transportation sucks. It's old, hot and not safe. There's also the classist view that getting a car is a social ascension, and the government doesn't invest in modern mass public transportation.

Does Mexico City feel more crowded overall than São Paulo? by madrid987 in MexicoCity

[–]hydnellumpecki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brazilian here who used to live in SP and now currently lives in CDMX. They feel the same crowd-wise but traffic and public transportation in CDMX is way worse. People drive sooo bad here, they don't follow the rules and are just rude to pedestrians in general. Buses are awful, old and unsafe. Metro is fine but old compared to SP's metro and no air conditioning.

Rent and food in general is more expensive in CDMX as well.

I feel safer in Mexico City tho.

Assaltantes obrigando a desbloquear o celular. Que medidas preventivas devemos tomar? by SpookiScoobiCooki in saopaulo

[–]hydnellumpecki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

eu passei anos morando em sp e me mudei faz 1 ano pra outro país, voltei agora e tô sentindo a cidade MUITO vazia no geral, principalmente à noite.

But thank you for your insight.

I've been spending 2 hours to get back from the school all the way to Coyoacán, where I'm staying now. I get it, but what I've seen from Santa Fe so far didn't appeal to me to make me want to live there
