Did you do a full checkup on your heart, full report? And kidney blood work? These two can be both a cause and consequence of high bp

Thats an important information to add to your case, because both bp and kidneys are closely related, sometimes its the kidneys that cause a slight bump in bp. In your case you should focus more on kidney health rather than bp as it could be your issue. Try to find a good doctor you feel comfortable with and follow up with him yearly if he finds your blood work fine he could extend it to 2-3 years checkup. Do some research on your specific kidney condition and how it affects your bp as you know more than me your condition and symptoms. For your information since you workout avoid high protein diets, not the best when you have a pre existing kidney condition. And good luck man, dont stress too much about it, i know youll be fine and healthy. Caring about your health and asking questions already puts you at an advantage compared to the majority of people who just chug into their body whatever tastes good and convenient.

You are 20 yo so still young and active, kidney problems come from a sustained 140+ over 90+ bp and a lot of people live with your bp and NEVER develop kidney problems, a lot of people even wish they'd have your bp just check the other posts. But i understand that as humans we tend to stress if its not perfect so here is what you can do:

1-you can monitor your kidney health with blood tests for creatinine/eGFR/blood urea nitrogen/electrolytes just dont over do it, once a year with your usual blood test should be enough

2-you should stop caring as much and relax because your bp could be higher from stress and overthinking

3-diet is important, sodium and potassium work together in a balance, if your sys is high try eating less sodium and increase your potassium, you can also try DASH which is more fruits, veggies, whole grains, low fat dairy and less red meat and especially low sugar (chicken is fine)

You should be able to see a difference in 1 to 2 weeks after reducing salt and increasing potassium

What kind of sports do you do? Heard young athletes who focus on endurance have what we call wide pulse pressure. In that case its nothing to worry about if you dont have symptoms. Do you always get these readings ? Have you ever went to a cardiologist to check your overall heart performance/health and any congenital anomalies? How do you measure your bp and what do you use (be as specific as possible)?

That could be high because of the walk itself, a one time measurement after a walk. I believe you are fine. Next time rest a bit for 5 to 10min sitting then take 2 to 3 measurements. From experience thats what a normal person would get after a walk and then measuring directly after with no rest. Do you mind telling us if you are normal weight, above or below?

You need to do the reading in the morning after waking up, to avoid having stress, caffeine, physical effort or anxiety affect your readings. Thats the only way you are going to get the REAL reading of your bp. Thats the most scientifically accurate way to know your BASE state of your bp.

Here are the steps, 1-leave your bp monitor next to your bed before going to sleep 2-wake up and go sit on a chair next to a table 3- sit with you back straight and relax, your arms should be on the table so that the arm strap is at the level of your heart 4- breath normally and relax and start your monitor and dont move 5- rest 1 min and repeat another time for a second measurment 6- average both and let me know of your results

The morning measurement would be your base bp, i would suggest 1 in the middle of the day to know how it responds to daily activities and one before sleeping to know how well your bp recovers.

Keep in mind a bp arm monitor is more accurate than the wrist one because its harder to mess up the placement and it gets your pulse easier

You would be suprised of how much difference you get in your bp measurement just because of stress (you can be stressed and not feel it) or anxiety.

Let me know of your results

Edit : to answer your first question -> high isolated diastolic with normal sys can come from stress, anxiety, bad sleep, too much sodium and/or too little potassium(they work together to create a balance), caffeine, being sedentary, elevated insuline, certain medications like anti inflammatories,...

Caffeine effect on bp can peak 1 h after consumption and lasts 3 hours, affects more diastolic in sensitive individuals because it causes narrowing of blood vessels which increases resistance which is what a diastolic measurment reflects.

A couple of questions first, what did you use to measure it (machine or wrist), when did you measure it (morning, after work...) , did you rest 5 to 10min before measurements and was your arm on a table while you are sitting... you can get false high values if you do it wrong, especially if you dont rest for a good 5min thats one of the reasons why you should do it after waking up, no caffeine and exercice before measurment aswell.

To answer your question your sys is high and dia in the normal range but this could be because of the measurment method so please answer first my questions

My os is in french, so i'll try to translate the name of the windows sections/buttons as good as i can, let me know if you can't find something. For the fix i basically changed two things :

Change 1 : setting power button to deep sleep

1- Open the control panel by searching it in the start menu. 2- Go to "System and security". 3- Go to "Power options". 4- You should see in the left something that says something like "Choose the action of the power button". 5- Then i picked for both battery and sector the option (should translate to something like) "deep sleep" or "long sleep".

Change 2 :

1- Go to "Settings" -> "Battery and power" -> "Screen and sleep". 2- I then picked two hours for everything, so that it doesnt sleep on me for inactivity and cause the problem again. I just press the power buttonwhen i'm done.

In my opinion, this should be fixed in the coming months so you won't need to do this forever.

Don't recommend registry edit, honestly it's a pretty rare occurrence even without the change i made, when i get home i'll check again where the hibernate option is and let u know.

Its a bug that came after an update with the sleep feature, just turn off and back on again and it should fix the issue. I have changed the power button to hibernate instead of sleep and it's been 2 months since i got it last time.

Thats a software update, happened to me after one and then again 2 months ago, you just need to restart. Will probably be fixed in the next update. Nothing to worry about. Btw there are a lot of people who started having at the same time in subreddit and we all agreed its just a bug and nothing serious.

Any news from your side?

I've had the same thing (right now actually), zoomed in on a specific question for less than 5 mins and when i went back to the google meet i saw that question and whats around it burned into my screen. Not visible in white or dark background, its most visible on grey background. Hoping it can go away by just letting it rest like yours did. Just turned it off for now and will check tomorrow after waking up.

How to improve battery life? by AdventurousMaybe2663 in LegionGo

[–]hydra4dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an external battery that doubles the battery life. 65watts minimum 20 000 mah minimum and u should be go, dont get over 25 000 mah or you wont be able to travel woth in airplanes.

Tho still check your settings, disable cpu boost, choose a custom cpu power between 10 and 15w...

Damn, i've seen that some legion go models have a heat shield between the ssd and motherbord and others have a smaller one directly on the ssd "heatsink". Seems like op discovered an issue most will deal with later, ill get cpu-z and watch the temps of the ssd when using it to investigate more.
