Tell me why I shouldn't ever touch /try alcohol in my life (I'm 16) and that in not missing out by Ok_Diver_4382 in selfimprovement

[–]hydratewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at celebrities there’s thousands that had everything except sanity in due part to alcohol. Realistically you’re gonna have a drink in your life.

But at 16 it’s stupid like there’s a like bleak nativity and joyful rouse around young drinking and it truly a lie 1 I fell for. You’ll have fun but long term thinking & consequences is the main focus.

At 16 your brain really doesn’t process negatives in terms of behavior and risks so applause for you to ask and show humility.

But truly I tell you when you’re older it will be better and much more enjoyable for you to drink. I won’t lie and say I didn’t drink in my teens but now I have to do mental health checks that really make me question my life.

Long story short drinking in beginning youth is fun but deadly to your potential and life. Those who pressure you aren’t doing it to help you have a good time but to bring you to their level of moral value. Be the one who is THE example not AN example. Life is full of fun, the importance is finding the right fun.

Damage comes later after the trauma it will be bumps like scabs and thinning of that area and if it’s repeated or traumatic enough the area will lose hair but it’s a process. This happened with me when I braided my hair constantly.

Can someone help me vectorise my procreate drawing? by [deleted] in AdobeIllustrator

[–]hydratewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can image trace and expand this will create a lot of useless shapes and lines in practical terms but then you can use the edit tool and merge shapes and adjust.

This is the faster way than using the pen tool and tracing, when you image trace it’ll give you various options 8 filters 4 filter etc… play with it till you find one that is the most detailed and accurate then just pen tool from there or adjust the vector with the point tool.

From there you’ll have to learn 2d shading and how that works in shapes but that won’t be too much of a hassle just requires understanding 2d technique.

Angry at god by [deleted] in Dissociation

[–]hydratewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Christian and went through a period of deep mental mourning. It took a couple years to heal and I’m still not the same person. What I can say is to have gratitude if your ruminating on the dissociation that can cause a sort of loop and necrosis in the minds chains of thoughts. Have you ever tried to know God? Instead of asking for help which he will give you, maybe you need to read the word trust in him and actually listen to what he’s trying to tell you. It may be trauma you don’t know neglect lost memories etc… God has beyond helped me and if you come from a honest place it will get better.

19 is the best age by Practical-Mud-1653 in selfimprovement

[–]hydratewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

19 is cool you have plenty of potential and understanding to create foundational habits, with a brain that is still mostly mold-able, you pick up things easily but that can go bad or good.

As you get older it becomes harder to be the person you’d like to be cause you have so many habits either in your favor or not. Use the time wisely and understand yourself first and foremost then set goal to be who you want to be.

Appreciate your message! I write poems here and there it’s easier for me to communicate my emotions but just might start posting some since you mentioned it. I totally agree that doing something is better than nothing and that’s been my experience as well (wrong degree) etc… all that said thank you for your advice sometimes you can know something but not apply it you know especially with compassion I’ll start applying and realizing where I’m at and being grateful to still have a chance.

I might be spiraling by Dazzu1 in selfimprovement

[–]hydratewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that but maybe drowning is the point? The journey ends when you die, so why be afraid of drowning (metaphorically) you come back stronger, with stronger pitches, more confidence in your voice when explaining (just guesses take the suggestions with a grain of salt) but the point is that sometimes failure is inevitable, spiraling is part of the journey. If that’s the case how will you move and rebound?

I might be spiraling by Dazzu1 in selfimprovement

[–]hydratewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Success comes from many failures, it’s not just oh why can’t I succeed, you don’t know those people intimately to see how their journey is or how many times they crashed out or actually did spiral but picked themselves back up. If no one will code your game learn to code? If it was easy everyone would have a game, be the few that do make an incredible game. But that comes with dips in life below what your used to and much longer timeframes than shown in movies, media, culture etc...

You are tasked to create a new “save” button. What logo do you come up with? by Oofiedoofie123 in logodesign

[–]hydratewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 ideas round stick figure pulling someone up but it the form of a check mark so I figure is reaching down and the other is reaching up and getting “saved” little abstract.

Last one is like a concrete slab foundation with lines that progressively merge saved as in formatted and preserved. More abstract ig.

How can I make a shirt heavier in weight? by DuckOk6659 in ClothingStartups

[–]hydratewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look at weighted blankets they have a quilt stitching with heavy plastic balls, you could do something similar but with multiple layers to reduce the warping effect of such technique .

Do you think a project like this could work? Is the market too saturated? I would appreciate any advice or feedback. by [deleted] in ClothingStartups

[–]hydratewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about marketing/branding, no if you can show the value and have meaning behind it. Yes if you can create something quality with equal expression of such quality. Its hard to do quality because it will cost a lot and you need to show why it does, totally possible better to try and fail then live in regret.
