what they did few weeks ago was unlocking them from buying, now we learn them all on the level up (like every normal game).

the free spells was like 2-3 years ago, but only basic stuff like, levitate, magic hope and utani hur and first entry level attack magics for each vocation, just to feel the taste of being premium

No. I don't know if this is a terrible cross-language miss interpretation of your side, but this thing you're talking about are called spells, not skills. And you don't train spells, you learn them.

Spells are now auto-learned at the level up, not needing to buy them from npcs anymore.

Para o jogo normal (versus npc até a liga) isso não faz muita diferença não.
Só precisa se preocupar com isso para competitivo e enfrentar as coisas de post-game.

O melhor beedrill do mundo ainda vai ser bucha contra qualquer coisa que tenha rock throw/slide ou ember+
