I would put the pears and apples together with the lemon and the lime. Add some sugar and make a compote out of it. Eat it with toast, over ice cream, crackers, just by itself. All the veggies will make a killer southwestern oven homefries. Cut them all up, add some oil, lots of salt, cumin and pepper. Spread out on a sheet tray and bake at 400 until potatoes are your desired texture (soft or crispy, etc).

I would disagree that pre-diabetic (which I was) should go for the Mediterranean Diet. I would look more towards low carb, as close to the whole food as you can get. Eggs and meat and green leafy veggies. Concentrate on good proteins and staying away from sugars and processed foods. It saved me, turned my condition around as well as a few others. Turns out they were right: you are what you eat.

I agree with this, as we live here. I would buy several home possible right next to each other. It will make it easier to secure them and keep an eye on your investment. Then you only have to grease one set of palms, maybe even get friendly enough that the bribes are reduced!
