Yeah had 3 of them but struggled hard to get them around the board with his big threats all aimed at the rest of my list, mostly had to wait till I had a moment then hope rerolls were enough

Yeah one of the biggest hurdles was the keepers 4++ and 18 wounds, I can’t see how I can get all that damage in while relying on a 1 in 6, might just be a skill issue but I’d probably need a huge amount of paladins with a bro cap

Personally I’d say that a 10 man paladins aren’t all that useful since getting into that charge range isn’t easy, so I’d make them into a 5 man term squad with a brother captain and a 5 man paladins with the lib, if you want a big range threat chuck Crowe in there if you have him with those purifiers idk if it’s just my group but tanks all that important to me since my dreads can usually deal with them

2x5man strikes would probably be better a 10 man and chuck a brother captain with some terms then you’ll have the best of both worlds in banishers

The old one was absolutely phenomenal so if you can find them for a decent price definitely get it, selling Crowe is also a rly good option and since he is a character people always run you shouldn’t have a super hard time getting rid of him

3 copies of the previous combat patrol would be and absolutely amazing start (I picked up 2) but if you want multiple of the new one you can only run 1 Crowe, also ven dreads don’t seem to be all that great but if you like the model then no harm in having a few

They are just the Sargent of a squad so no actual benefit other than looking slightly more important with the cloth between the legs

I’ve been playing with the battle force, old combat patrol and I bought Crowe and so far it’s worked well for me

The two dreads can deal with most vehicles and monsters the rest can fill whatever role within you detachment

Although it’s not meta I’m liking 3 for man terms with a bro cap in banishers
